A local comic shop near me is gonna close down, and I want to pick up something there before they do. I'm all set when it comes to their figures, but they do have quite a few TF comics, from the 80s Marvel series to Dreamwave and IDW.

I am not too well-versed in the comic side of TF, but have read and enjoyed some of the IDW pack-ins with the Thrilling 30 Deluxes. Some good ones were Spotlight Megatron and Orion Pax, but Spotlight Hoist and Skids especially.

I just love the concept of a bunch of misfits sitting around annoying each other with their personality quirks. Are there any more single issues which are more or less self-contained and are as fun as MTMTE #22 Little Victories?

Self-contained? No. But if you have a chance at getting MTMTE #9-11 (Shadowplay arc), RID #21-22 (Soundwave's past) - then do not pass them up. Interiors (MTMTE #6) and the new run (from #28 onwards) of RID/The Transformers are also pretty great!

MTMTE 13. A singular self contained issue in which said bunch of misfits go on holiday to a bar. Stuff happens. Well worth it if you only want a one shot.
