I stand by everything I said. Where I come from Weird Al is a joke. If people in middle America or foreign countries actually give a crap about him, I wouldn't know. I wouldn't be caught dead in a Weird Al concert watching him perform stupid songs in stupid costumes. Sometimes I wonder about Transformers fans. If I diss Justin Beiber, I bet many people on this site will jump to defend him.

Did you just compare Weird Al to Beiber?

You've lost all legitimacy in this conversation not just from opinions but from the fact that those two's music are not comparable.

I can tell you that there are a lot of reasons why people give a damn about Weird Al he is a funny guy with a great sense of humor and people like his music.

His "stupid" songs are the reason he has a giant fan base.

Jesus Christ your posts are obnoxious and your sig also shows that ignorance.

Back in the olden days of America's Top Ten, heck even waaaaaaaaaaay before, the late Casey Kassem already had a name in the music industry. Almost comparable to Dick Clark.

I know what I did. I'm a bad boy.

Surely you mean Abu, from Aladdin?

Frank Welker, my hero. :x

But would you consider him a guest celeb appearance? Was he hired for his celeb status or because of his voice acting work?

Just curious, because there is a fine line and I dont know where some people fit sometimes.

I do agree with this list. As even though Frank Welker, and Peter Cullen, are celebrities, they are off screen. If you aren't involved with something they do you might not know who they are at all. While those on the list can be easily recognized.

Any chance on a top ten VA list?

Top 10's a lot of work but it could be fun. Maybe I could do 5 but then I run into a big problem that if I don't put Peter Cullen as number 1, I will be chased up a mountain by a mob wielding torches and pitchforks. Or I simply wouldnt be taken seriously if I put Sumalee Montano as number 1 when there isn't any reason she (or anyone else) shouldnt be. So after you put the obvious ones in, there isnt any room left for anything fun and original. In case that list never gets made, I will simply state it here that the best voice in all of Transformers history was provided by David Kaye. I would LOVE for David Kaye to play opposite Peter Cullen in a Transformers show.

Also, I am really glad no one has mentioned Hugo Weaving. He definitely crossed my mind in terms of celebs that have voiced transformers but I felt he brought absolutely nothing to the role and he himself has admitted a few times that he didnt care about doing it . It showed. That finalized voice could have come from anyone.

Also, the reason I preffer Nimoy as Galvatron and not Sentinel is due to that really forced star trek reference that is nonsensical in the context. How does "the needs of the few" refer to the entire human race?!

I was going to ask why nobody had mentioned movie Megatron, but, what you said.
Good list, Billy-Jimmy!

5. Dwayne Johnson as TFP Cliffjumper (2nd biggest star power in the 2nd shortest appearance)
4. Robert Stack as G1 Ultra Magnus (just an amazing voice; should have done more voice work)
3. Leonard Nimoy as DoTM Sentinel Prime (I think he sounds better as Sentinel than as G1 Galvatron)
2. Judd Nelson as G1 Hot Rod (he was a huge star at the time, and Hot Rod was supposed to be the new leader)
1. Orson Welles as G1 Unicron (biggest star power in the shortest appearance)

Honorable mentions: Tony Todd as The Fallen, Weird Al as TFA Wreck-Gar.

P.S. If Unicron ever makes it to Bayverse, I really hope James Earl Jones will be around to voice him.

It saddens me to see no mention of Luke Skywalker in this thread. Sure, he's more of a voice actor than anything nowadays, but he sure did some big stuff in his live action career.

Huh? What'd he do in Transformers?

Woodrow Burns

He appears every now and then. And is awesome.

Oh, another celebrity I'm sad to see missing: Tim Curry, season 1 voice of Dr. Thaddeus Morocco. Who is awesome.

And no LeVar Burton, either. Voice of Doc Greene. Another awesome.

They played PEOPLE, that doesn't count! :P

Not sure about LeVar Burton, but Tim Curry and Mark Hamill do so much voice acting work I don't think they're appearance has quite as much... surprise factor as the actors in the list. Hamill's Joker has got to be just as popular (or at least damn close) as his Luke Skywalker, so saying he's lending his voice to another cartoon isn't really that notable.

They're still "Guest Celebrity voice actors in Transformers History", darn it! ;)

I'd wager all three of them are more known than Tony Todd, at the very least.

If this is good enough to get Mark Hamill at a Botcon or any other Transformers Con I'm all for it.
