You forgot the short bit where Victorion decides to forget about Trypticon being the big bad threat and instead wants to go after Overlord for vengeance.

But yeah, what you said pretty much covers everything. This would have been a great way to market Trypticon had it been released to coincide with his release. But otherwise you could probably take all the episodes, cut them up and splice them together to maybe a 30 minute episode simply to connect Combiner Wars to Power of the Primes.

I am just so glad this series is being made and is going into its third season. I agree with 90 percent of the criticism of the show's writing, pacing, special effects ...... It was definitely 10 episodes of Trypticon wakes up and goes for a walk terrorizing the neighborhood only to just as abruptly fall asleep again.
It makes no sense, but I enjoy the few character models they have. Seeing them in action is visually exciting and Megatron is still fantastic. I could go on for days criticizing the series and I do wish it was better, but I am happy we have it and I cannot wait for season three!

Final Character Poster for Machinima Transformers Titans Return Megatronus / Mark Hamill

With the conclusion of the second animated series in the Prime Wars Trilogy co-produced by Hasbro and Machinima - Transformers: Titans Return, see our final review here - we have a final poster release, of the kind we saw when the series first started airing, featuring the last character revealed in the series: Megatronus.

Voiced by Luke Skywalker's cousin Mark Hamill, though no Gershwin was gargled on the show, the Prime (as in of the Primes) character will also return in the third and final series Power of the Primes, also released by Machinima as reported here, during the Spring of this year. The discussion thread for that series can be found following this link, but check out the image below!

Not everyone will survive Megatronus’ arrival on Cybertron. Watch the finale of Transformers: Titans Return on go90 now go90.show/2CJToSC

If you’re outside of the US head to go90.show/TransformersINTL to watch.

Hello Mazinkaiser...i mean, megatronus. I know it's been pointed out before but this image really brings it home. Wonder if his fists fire out...or like in the shin mazinger z series, he transforms into a big fist.

I swear, he looks more like The General from Megaman X4 than a Transformer.

You think that Machinima would care?

Anyways that was something that started with Movie Fallen, the Dreamwave version had a non Decepticon logo face to.

I was trying to figure out what bothered me about this, and you nailed it.

To me, he looks like a cross between Prime Megatron, RID Megatronus, and an Egyptian pharaoh headdress.

Plus Dreamwave The Fallen's color scheme.

So Mark Hamill has proven to do some great villain voice work with The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and Fire Lord Ozai in Avatar: The Last Airbender. Problem is, those were GOOD shows with GOOD writing that Hamill could WORK with. This is TRANSFORMERS, and if that wasn't enough of a curse in its own right, it's the goddamn MACHINIMA series, probably the worst of all abysmal Transformers shows behind Energon.

R.I.P Hamill, you've had a good run.

While I agree that Hamill sounded bored as all get out in the TR finale, you do know that this isn't Hamill's first Transformers role, right? He's already done another role in a TF cartoon and he was fantastic at it.

'Course, it also helps that that other role of his had excellent writing and directing behind it to complement his acting talent.

And, well, Hamill also did this:

Yeah but you could've put David DeLuise or some other guy that sounds like an uncle in that role and it wouldn't have made the difference. Hamill can offer so much more to a role than the obvious stunt casting they did on Rescue Bots. That was nothing noteworthy.

And that Prime commercial was awful.

Looks like there were some plans to actually use the Titan Master gimmick in this show, but as we all saw, that ended up not happening.

In an early draft, I had Emissary become the head of Windblade, who then woke-up Fortress Maximus. But the idea didn't make it to the final version!

A shame they didn't go that route as it would have added something extra

Heh, even in the draft that would have made some kind of use of the Titan Master gimmick would Emissary have still not formed the head of the guy whose head he's supposed to be. 8-}

That is something that has bothered me greatly. Emissary should have attached to Cerebros and then Fort Max, you know that would have made more sense for waking him up. Hell he could have attached to Cerebros and Windblade could have had to kiss him to wake him, and that would have made more sense then what they did.

With how they went, I was disappointed her head did pop off afterwards and transform into a robot with all that weird power going through her.

Am I being overly negative/pessimistic? Let me try again:

It's going to suck.

It's too early to type how I feel, so I'll just go with this.

What I find disappointing though is the one truly decent thing from the CW series, Mr Bailey himself, who did a fantastic Optimus Prime, has been shafted aside for fan service.

Nonsense! I didn’t get shafted! I would never intentionally take a job from Peter Cullen if he was able and willing and everyone should know that. I will always prefer he do the voice especially over me! Where I WAS disappointed was not even getting asked to audition for any OTHER roles (along with several other cast members who were all part of the success that led to a bigger budget to get great actors like Ron Perlman, Mark Hamill & Peter Cullen) yet some cast members retained their roles. They didn’t even email me to let me know. I emailed them until I got an answer. I’m both overjoyed Cullen reprised his role & saddened to no longer be part of the series. I still do ongoing VO work for Hasbro & other companies doing various TF projects & I will always love the franchise for leading me to this career and continue working on becoming a regular character in a network TF animated series, film, game. It was an honor while it lasted.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm sure you'll have other work with TFs in the future. By contrast, Peter Cullen or Frank Welker don't always get picked for every TF role, either.

While those two may be arguably the best and most iconic, it is true, they have not really done the voices that often, until recent years. Cullen had a 30 year absence (basically) until the first live action film, and Welker had minor roles in films 2 &3, until Hugo Weaving's (I'm guessing Obligatory 3 picture deal) was up. I'm not sure if their contributions to the video game tie-ins or Prime TV series came first, but it was roughly all around the same time, 2010.

Whoever is doing Prime in Cyberverse is serviceable, but I'd definitely rather have John Bailey doing it (Since Cullen was probably not an option).

Also, I don't want to sound morbid but...Cullen and Welker aren't exactly spring chickens, which is why I absolutely treasure any time they take on the roles of those characters. Of course if I had it my way, they'd live forever.

Welker voiced Megatron in the 2007 movie games.
