IDW Comic Scripts

Hey guys,

It's a total shot in the dark but I wanted to drop by the forum and see if anyone knew where I could find full versions of the scripts used in IDW's comics?

I'm an art student that'll hopefully have a chance to show some work to IDW at some point in the coming months and wanted to have some legit pages to show. Here's a few I did for fun last Spring without any particular story to work from.

Please don't mind the freshly-made account, couldn't get my old login to work (username used to be CowboyBebop yeeaaarrrsss ago).

Thanks for the help!

Hi LaughingMan, and welcome to Seibertron.com!

The scripts are usually either included in special collected editions of the comics, or available for sale from the writers themselves at conventions. I know James Roberts and Simon Furman always have a pack of them at cons, so it might be worth getting to Charlotte this weekend (if in the US) or TFNation in August (if in UK) - maybe even Toronto - and see if you can pick one up.

I'm sure there are other means of acquiring them, but I do not personally condone non-official channels. Maybe see if a fellow Seibertronian can get you one at some point?

Hope that helps!

Much appreciated! I'll have to take a look around NYCC this weekend if anyone is going to be there, the other conventions are a little out of my reach.

Of Transformers writers, maybe John Barber. IDW have a big presence at NYCC, though not much in terms of Transformers, and Barber should be there in his editor duty. I doubt you'll be able to get stuff of him though. Good luck in any case!

Worth a shot. And if I can get some face time with an editor I'd call that a win all the same.
