Unused Concepts for Transformers Comics

Recently unearthed by Seibertronian Twincaster ScottyP, we have images of an unused pitch for a Transformers Spotlight: Octane/Tankor by Nick Roche and James Roberts all the way back from 2007. According to the artist, and along with some images (mirrored below), some of the material has in fact been used since in More Than Meets the Eye.

If you're suffering from Roche deficiency with the pause before the last Sins of the Wreckers issue, why not also check out some uncoloured, unlettered pages from his work over on his blog, while we're here? Head right this way for more Wreckers, more Spotlight, more Roche!

That is a cool design. I like how he does designs that are feasible as toys.

This would have been something very interesting to actually have seen. Too bad it never went through :MAXIMAL:

I'm lukewarm at best on Cybertronian modes, would rather just have 'em be born in Earth (or other planet!) modes, but that Octane design is nicely put together, nice and toyetic.

Would've been cool to see a Spotlight focused on Octane, especially headed by Roche and Roberts! It looks like it was going to explore the side of G1 Octane that was kinda detached from the 'cons (even if that was ganked from Blitzwing).

I always wondered: since they're machines, and fuel is their food, does a "refueling specialist" basically amount to a cook?

Lol and maybe he puts something more grandiose sounding on his business card... 'Dietician' or 'nutritionist' when in fact he's the decepticons' dinner lady.
