It would explain why Big Convoy's arms were always asymetrical when the rest of his body was not.

Ya know, I think you nailed it. I never noticed just how asymmetrical his arms were before.

I didn't even notice till last Thursday, it's strange that those are the only asymmetrical parts, usually the chest is asymmetrical if anything or at least an indication that the bot has some asymmetry

There is more subtle asymetry all across this figure (including the chest), I wrote about it when I included him in my top 5 shellformers list: https://www.seibertron.com/transformers ... oys/33329/

But the arm is the most asymetrical part. Maybe a quick news piece on the revelation could be fun.

I mean, it's a nearly 20 year old toy, I'm not sure it really needs a news piece

Not about the toy, about the fact that we actually have a fictional reason for it after all these years.

Eh, for fun, why not? I wonder how many people didn't even realize Big Convoy was asymmetrical

Ok ehm... To get this back on track a bit... I know! Anybody think we could expect more Siege or Select designs to pop up in there closer to the end? We got Cog, the Micromasters and Firedrive already, who could possibly be fitted in?

Depending on which previous Legends toy characters also appear in an epilogue chapter, I could see Sixgun and Brunt appearing alongside Metroplex and Trypticon.

Then again, whoever appears might also depend on whenever an epilogue chapter might see release. The Big Powered prologue came out on the day before the second wave (SG-08 to SG-14) of Takara's Siege line came out, so if an epilogue were to come out closer to a later wave's release date, we should keep an eye out for the following Japanese wave release dates:
  • May 31, 2019 - Wave 4: SG-20 to SG-24
  • July 27, 2019 - Wave 5: SG-25 & SG-26
  • August 24, 2019 - Wave 6: SG-27 & SG-28
  • September 28, 2019 - Wave 7: SG-29 to SG-32
  • October 25, 2019 - Wave 8: SG-33 to SG-35

We have now reached the end of an era.

The following is the final Legends manga chapter, simply titled Transformers Legends Final Story "Epiloge" (that is not a typo on my part, btw).

The Legends line is practically over,. The wider retail line was replaced during brand unification and now we see that even the exclusives are under the Selects line rather than the Legends EX line. With this end in mind, Takara has released their final chapter in the Legends manga and fellow Seibertronian Sabrblade sent that our way. This was published on their website.

Interpretation time!

Dai Atlas (in his five-Powered Master robot mode configuration) has struck down the Star Giant by completely bisecting it in half, killing both Dark Nova and G1 Megatron, as previously seen in Dai Atlas's pack-in comic. The survivors of the Legends World mourn the loss of G1 Megatron, as he had been a great and benevolent mayor to them. Optimus Prime appears to reassure them that Megatron's dying wish of having the Legends World restored will be fulfilled.

By the year 2039, Hot Rod does some stuff with Hooligan and Triggerhappy (whose Targetmaster partner Blowpipe is now drawn to match his Siege toy) and meets up with the Eldedroid-suited Daniel Witwicky, who informs Hot Rod about the discovery of a new energy source called Angolmois Energy. A grown up Atari Hitotonari works with who I presume to be an aged Chip Chase on the project working with this new "Gaia Energy" and the creation of a new line of Androids (including Artemis and Moon from Beast Wars Second). An aged Spike Witwicky is also present and, elsewhere, Soundwave and the Decepticons hold a press conference that mentions the Decepticons, the Autobots, Cybertron, the late Megatron, and the Legends World.

In space, Ultra Powered brings Perceptor and Windblade to the planet Zamojin to speak with Katsu Don about the possibility of recreating the Legends World. Katsu Don seems resistant to the idea at first, but seems to relent (need more clarification on this). Ultra Powered then heads to Planet Zone (but not before a brief flashback of Dai Atlas conversing with an injured Star Saber), where it is discovered that several beast-moded Microns (Mini-Cons) have been created from Protoforms that were exposed to Beast Power. These Mini-Cons are the ones from the Micron Booster 4 set that included ones with Maximal and Predacon insignia. Here, these Mini-Cons are used to explain the origins of the Maximal and Predacon insignia in the Japanese continuity. What's more is that the Beast Power granted these Mini-Cons the ability to scan organic lifeforms, explaining that bit of Beast Wars technology as well.

All five Powered Masters then transform into their Zone Base Modes to prepare for the recreation of the Legends World. A ceremony is held involving the direct interaction of at least Zodiac, Energon Z, Zamojin telepathy power, Beast Power, and the little Legend World version of Botanica. As Leo Prime and Rattrap watch the spectacle unfold, G2 Smokescreen and Dreadwing (in their upgraded forms) watch from afar, too ashamed of their previous siding with Dark Nova to interact with anyone else. However, they are approached by the surprising appearance of Devcon, who offers to let them join up with him and his pals, Slizardo and the Skuxxoid. Smokescreen is convinced (having previously worked with Devcon back when he, Smokescreen, was an Autobot) while Dreadwing seems hesitant. Smokescreen seems to reassure him and bring him over as well.

At last, the universe of the Legends World is reborn and Broadside carries its survivors over to the newly restored world, bringing them all home. In this new world, the people of the Legends World get right to work building a brand new body for G1 Megatron, restoring him to life. This new body of his is based directly on his Masterpiece MP-36 body. From here, life goes on in the Legends World as many of its people goes to see the new Bumblebee movie and love it! But then, Legends World Megatron comes running with some shocking news: G1 Megatron is planning to leave the Legends World!

The people of the Legends World are immensely sad to see their mayor wanting to back home to the G1 World, but Megatron is sympathetic and a heartfelt farewell is held in his honor, with everyone seeing Megatron off. Legends World Megatron is the most sad out of everyone, even thinking back to four different moments of G1 Megatron's time in the Legends World. but life must continue forward.

And so it does! Presented in the style of end credits, Pages 13-15 of this story show us glimpses of many more epilogues to other series, including:

  • The main Japanese G1 storyline, with Megatron reuniting with Optimus Prime and formally reestablishing the Cybertron Alliance (with Sakamoto sneaking some Power of the Primes toy cameos of Grimlock, Elita One, and Slash)
  • Kiss Players (sort of), with Marissa Faireborn, her daughter Sue, Atari, and Shaoshao, along with Hot Rod, Artemis, and Moon, in a sort of bridge to the Beast Era
  • Beast Machines, with Rattrap, Waspinator (happy at last), and the reborn Rhinox living peacefully on the Technorganic Cybertron and having a campfire celebration near Mount Megatron with Cheetor, Silverbolt, Nightscrean, Blackarachnia and Botanica, along with Obsidian and Strika looming in the sky above, making their way back to the planet
  • Prime, with Knock Out and Breakdown (still in his Unite Warriors toy body) working on new Decepticon armor from the Beast Hunters Cyberverse and Adventure toylines (making this the Japanese Prime/Go!/Adventure universe instead of the English one wherein Knock Out switched to the Autobot side)
  • Animated, taking place right after the BotCon 2011 and 2015 Season 3.5 fiction, with Slipstream (in her Legends body) teamed up with Swindle and a seemingly revived Starscream in what looks like a plot to spring Megatron's Decepticons out of prison
  • Car Robots, with Devil Gigatron combined with God Fire Convoy as the oxymoronically named Devil God Fire Convoy
  • Car Robots again, withe Black Convoy, Baldigus, and Dark Ai on some planet out in space
Armada, with Alexis at the beach reminiscing about Starscream Super Mode
  • Leo Prime's personal story, with him also departing the Legends World to continue his adventures, seen off by the Legends World versions of Lio Convoy and Lio Junior
  • A Legends World homage to Beast Wars Neo, with Big Convoy's students all having their graduation ceremony, styled after the ceremony that was supposed to happen in the final episode of Beast Wars Neo
  • Another Legends epilogue, with Officer Ai trying to arrest Tarantulas, much to the confusion of the other employees at the Tera Kura Company (featuring the debut appearances of Rampage and Transmutate!)
  • And finally, a new beginning...
...in which a new employee comes to work at the Axalon Trading Company. He is the Legends World version of Depth Charge's shark drone (which was characterized as its own speaking character in the Japanese dub) and is a huge fan of Transformers: Armada. He is welcomed by the other employees, including a surprise appearance by Depth Charge!

In the year 2040 of the G1 World, Hawking (G2 Eagle Eye) and Magnificus bring the (still-living?) body of Skyquake to a secure area, where Assaultmaster (from the United EX line) is immobilized. A burst of energy shoots out from Assaultmaster's body and entering Skyquake. Magnificus places a cloak over the form of Skyquake, now inhabited by the Decepticon High Regent, Scrash.

But, the two leaders of the Cybertron Alliance, Optimus Prime and Megatron, arrive on the scene to engage these new enemies. Working together, they charge!

As the old saying goes, it never ends.

Man Im going to miss Legends. Love the crazy, weird stuff Sakamoto been doing, his artwork and stories tying so much together in a bizarre patchwork that somehow worked. Since I bought quite a few Legends figures, I have some of the comics at least.

Karyuudo Fansubs has expressed interest in translating the Legends manga, and have translated a few previous chapters (the Blue Big Convoy one being their most recent one), but there's a lot of other things on their plate right now so we'll just have to be patient and settle for the TFWiki summaries for the time being.

Though, let's not forget that a lot of those earlier chapters were pretty skeevy in their depiction of females.

On a semi-related note, has anyone managed to recreate the Ultra Powered configuration in a way that isn't a floppy mess that falls apart when you look at it?

English summary of the "Epiloge" manga - https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers_Legends_Final_Chapter_"Epiloge"

Rattrap, Megatron and the other Legends natives are saddened to learn of G1 Megatron's sacrifice, though Optimus Prime, recalling Megatron's previous resurrection within the Legends World, requests they try to bring him back again as soon as the universe itself is restored. By 2039, the war has ended: the Decepticons have laid down their arms in accordance with Megatron's last wishes and support the plan to restore the Legends World and resurrect their leader. Many peaceful developments and relationships born in the Legends Universe have resurfaced, including Hot Rod and Triggerhappy's partnership as they work as law enforcers on Earth. Human science is rapidly approaching Transformer levels thanks to their alliance with Cybertron as well as Angolmois Energy, a power souce extracted from Gaia Energy discovered within the planet, and the efforts of scientists like Chip Chase and Professor Hitotonari have resulted in the creation of androids, human-made robotic lifeforms.

Perceptor, Windblade and Dai Atlas travel to Zamojin and ask its people for help in restoring the Legends World, but are met with refusal by Katsu Don. When Windblade offers to defend the newborn world and Perceptor argues that Katsu Don can't decide the fates of the Legends natives or else he'll be the same as the Quintessons who attacked his planet, the Zamojin relents, confessing that he was already shameful about seeing his own actions reflected in those of the Vok. Dai Atlas praises Perceptor's willingness to reach out to a former enemy, recalling how Star Saber made him Supreme Commander in spite of his past as a Decepticon. Returning to the Z Planet, Dai Atlas encounters small newborn beast Transformers created by imbuing protoform capsules with Beast Power, allowing them to scan organic life. Wheeljack believes these Transformers' descendants will be the ones who will travel into the past to protect the present, granting them new symbols as proof that the future can't be changed. As they were created through Autobot and Decepticon cooperation, Wheeljack also sees them as symbols of everlasting peace between the factions.

While the Powered Masters gather their resources to recreate the Legends World, Dai Atlas asks Rattrap to make sure Megatron is resurrected, having forgiven the Decepticon thanks to his saving the Z Planet from destruction. Controlling the gathered Zodiacs through their Powered Engines, the Powered Masters imbue them with Energon Z, Zamojin telepathy power, Botanica's soil, and finally through White Leo's sword, Beast Power and the very wishes of the Legends residents. Leo Prime reflects on how even though the Zamojin went down the wrong path, their telepathy experiment is what allowed him to sense the Legends natives cheering him on on Gaia and thanks Rattrap, who thanks him back. Watching from afar, Dreadwing and Smokescreen reaffirm their belief that peace between Transformers will never last when Devcon approaches, apologizing to Smokescreen for not being there for him and revealing that even he cooperates with others for the sake of peace now. His resolve shaken, Smokescreen takes his hand to return to the fold, though Dreadwing refuses and turns to leave. However, when his partner calls out to him that they themselves are proof that Autobots and Decepticons can work together, he too has a change of heart and joins Smokescreen and Devcon.

The Legends World is successfully restored, down to the cities, and its residents waste no time in using their wish-granting powers to build a new Megatron body and call his spark into it. Half a year later, things have returned to normal as Rattrap, Rhinox, Tigatron and Silverbolt all watch the Bumblebee movie, which appeals to all their tastes. In fact, things are going so well that the reborn Megatron realizes he longer needs to run the Legends World and decides to return to the G1 World. He tells the residents about how he arrived there with the intent of conquering their world only to realize it was a chance to create the peaceful world his friend had wanted, then gives them his heartfelt thanks for showing him the potential of a world where different peoples with different beliefs can all work together. Legends Megatron bursts into tears, but G1 Megatron tells him that this isn't goodbye: After all, his future endeavors will appear in the Legends World as fiction, so he asks his counterpart to keep cheering him on from afar. As G1 Megatron takes his leave and Legends Megatron begins searching for any and all Transformers fiction to consume, Rattrap expresses his comfort that the G1 World will be safe with Optimus Prime and a heroic Megatron around: Some amazing Transformers stories must be just around the corner.

In the G1 World, Megatron and Optimus Prime rebuild the Cybertron Alliance while Earth enters a new era, and in the far future, the Maximals celebrate with the returned Rhinox on a reformatted Cybertron. In other universes, Breakdown and Knock Out have been reunited, Slipstream makes plans to break other Decepticons out of prison, the Dimensional Patrol continues its battles against the unknown while Scourge and his Commandos are out there somewhere, and Alexis remembers the late Starscream. Back in the Legends World, Leo Prime leaves Lio Convoy and his son with some gifts as he too departs, Big Convoy's class graduates from high school, and chaos continues at Tera-Kura Co. Axalon Trading Company hires a new face, Koban Shark, who quickly gets along with the rest as he's a Transformers fan too, particularly of Armada.

In 2040 of the G1 World, Hawking and Magnificus break into the Autobot base containing the Assaultmaster in which their leader Scrash has been sealed. Declaring that they will tear down the Cybertron Alliance with technology unearthed from Tarantulas's lair, they free Scrash who bursts out of his prison in the form of an energy lifeform and possesses Skyquake, a former host of his brought by his underlings. However, the group is interrupted by Optimus Prime and Megatron, who have come to put a stop to Scrash's plans.
