Did someone say interior art?!! - https://www.bleedingcool.com/2018/07/21/idw-go-bots-comic-independent-transformers/

Also:
There has been no Go-Bots material for a very long time until now. And yes, these are real Go-Bots from the original toys, with Leader One and all. However, readers do not have to be familiar with the toy line, and you are to expect a very unique and overblown psychedelic Kirby-esque style from Tom Scioli that one would have never expected from the property.

The Earth doesn’t know what to make of them, and yes they will be very independent of Transformers… for now at least.
Guess that settles that... for now at least. ;)

Can't quite make it out but can the gobots talk in this?

Scooter talk by the looks of it.
Looks like CJ and Nick Burns appear in this I guess they were Tonka property. All very interesting I didn't like TF v GIjoe as I just couldn't get a long with the art work.
As this is Go-Bots i have to buy it.

I'm glad this Go-Bots is independent from TF let the brand grow without the TF.

If there is one person that'll get me excited about Go-Bots, it's Tom Scioli.

The Synopsis has me intrigued. As does the more abstract humanoid aesthetic. Also very happy this will be it's own thing. Sick of shared universes.

^ This is what Visionaries was missing. Someone who genuinely cares about the subject matter. Beyond the superficial, the Go-Bots and Transformers were very different species and it's great to see that acknowledged.
Ever since the first Bayformers, I used to joke with friends about how wouldn't it be funny if someone made a more faithful Go-Bots series that people liked more.

As for what "fans" want, unlike Transformers, Go-Bots has been gone from the greater public consciousness for three decades. Said fanbase probably doesn't even exceed a couple thousand worldwide, which should leave Scioli the freedom to tell his own story without the interference that dogs Transformers.

I think you missed that "for now" point ;-) basically there will be a crossover...just not yet but then again I don't think gobots would ever be in the hasbroverse anyway.

I think the "for now" was more meaning that there could (rather than will) be some overlap between the two later on, but it all depends on what they want to do with the story.

Indeed. That's what I took from it. Also the "for now" albeit confirms this mini-series will be it's own thing at least, which is a plus.

IDW Artist Thomans Scioli tweets new scenes from IDW Go-Bots series

Thanks to IDW Artist Thomas Scioli's twitter, we have new images from the forthcoming IDW Go-Bots series (due out in November, as seen in this news post). The wordless images show Matt Hunter and Turbo in a Nascar race with Matt over taking four cars in the way with a touch of acrobatics from Turbo.

The series is set on a version of Earth where the Go-Bots are already integrated within society and shows how life has changed.

Are you looking forward to this new interpretation of the Go-Bots? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews.

The story premise sounds fun, but I'm really tired of comic books nostalgically homaging art from an era that was basically remarkable for how bad its art was.

It's basically recreating the art style of the early days, and was used to great effect in the Transformers vs GI Joe miniseries. It's not to some people's tastes but each to their own.

Art quality aside.. I don't remember Turbo ever being able to have a driver when in car mode, as being cyborgs they were not that much bigger than average humans.. when did go-bots get mass shifting abilities?

I don't even understand why Gobots is getting a comic. Can they just officially assimilate Gobots into Transformers once and for all and call it a day at long last? Is anyone truly nostalgic about Gobots over Transformers? If they are, I might have to rethink what I want to do with https://www.gobotron.com and https://www.machinerobo.com :)

Did anyone really ask for micronaughts and visionaries to return? No but at the end of the day why not?

Turbo literally shoved Nick and A.J. inside his chest cockpit (upside-down, even!) while in robot mode during the five-part pilot. ;)^

Because Micronauts and Visionaries are a very different concept from Transformers. Gobots, on the other hand, was the hands-down direct competitor to Transformers which the latter brand defeated soundly. Just don't get the nostalgic value for Gobots as a stand alone concept separate from being sucked into the Transformers universe.

Dunno if that chart's official or not, but if it is, that scale is way off from how much bigger than that they were in the show.

Heh heh, all kidding aside, those are children in slave labor uniforms (In that episode, the Renegades had taken over a town by taking all of its children hostage to use as leverage for coercing the town's adult populace into slavery, building the Renegade superweapon Ultra Zod).
