I G1 what two episodes does the movie fall between? Also, what season is it in? I am talking about the cartoon one, not the new one.

Its set 20 years after the final episode of Season 2 (B.O.T) and leads directly into season 3 with The Five Faces of Darkness Part 1

Unfortunately, Season 2 ends with the episode "B.O.T", which is not one of the worst Season 2 episodes but it isn't one of the best either.

The movie was being worked on at the same time as Season 2 and, hence, is why some events in Season 2 appear to have not occurred according to the movie (for ex. the fact that the Constructicons are the only gestalt team in the film).

The five-part mini-series "The Five Faces of Darkness" is the opening of Season 3 aka post-movie season.

Hence, the answer to your question that asks what season TF:TM is in is that it isn't in either Season, but is the boundary between Season 2 and Season 3.

I wish we would have had an episode before the movie introducing Magnus, Hot Rod, Kup, Blur, Springer and Arcee instead of leaving it up to our imaginations as to how they came to be on Earth with Optimus and crew.
