We are sad to write to you that as of this week we've lost Canadian actor Dale Wilson, yet another soul whose performance in the Unicron Trilogy made an impact for many of us. He played Smokescreen in Armada and Mudflap in Cybertron as well as Overkill in G.I Joe: A Real American Hero and Cell in Dragon Ball Z (among a multitude of other voice roles). He passed away January 6th at 74. He was battling with both Parkinson's disease and prostate cancer

We wish our deepest sympathies to his loved ones.

Loved his voice acting in Transformers. Actually forgot that he voiced Cell in DBZ as I hadn't watched the English dub in decades, but it was an enjoyable performance.

RIP

Dale Wilson was also the voice of Welman Matrix in ReBoot, and was the stand-in actor who would read Megabyte's lines with the rest of the Canadian voice cast while Tony Jay recorded Megabyte's proper dialogue separately from the others in LA.

He was Cell in the lesser known Canadian dub. The more widely known American dub by Funimation (as well as the Kai redub) had Cell voiced by Dameon Clarke.
