Ok, so we have a new cartoon and all, and we have a new soundwave..Finally!!! So my question to you fans of old and those new coming in..

what should soundwave's voice sound like??

should he be like his G-1 counterpart, or would you prefer an entirely new direction??

I'd like to hear your thoughts on him..

I for one would like to have his voice similar to the GENERATION ONE sound, but with the new look and guitar and all, and the dynamic art...I'm not so sure if that ,stoic and, dry, but high and mighty, synthesizer sound would fly and mesh well..

It doesn't have to match G1 exactly, but I think that he needs to have a voice that's been processed (synthisized).

As long as he doesn't sound like a surfer dude.

or a stoned out rocker, alla the Guitar he has...

Soundwave is not Soundwave without the synth voice.

He better be synthed out, and he definitely better NOT talk like a Ninja Turtle.

G1 Voice and Personality. Not all guitar players have to be "Edgy". I actually think it's kind of cool. I'm thinking he'll be more like an "effects whore", his guitar will have loads of chorus and flange etc. on it. That'd make a whole lot more sense than him being a straight out rocker.

Synth, of course. However I hope it's toned down a bit more than in G1, sometimes it was hard to understand what Soundwave said in the original toon.

It'd be cool if he had heavier processing on his voice than the other characters, as a throwback to his G1 self, but I definitely wouldn't want it to be as processed as his original voice. Sure, everyone remembers it, but it made it practically impossible for Soundwave to speak more than a few words or establish his character beyond the one-dimensional cipher the cartoon character was.

So, cool voice, but not at the expense of scriptability please.

The synth voice, because thats what made SW so popular! Because Cybertron's version was pathetic (no probs with GF )

Since it's a kiddy cartoon i'm sure htey will take the opportunity to make a ridiculos cartoony voice for this character, so hopefully he is a bit similar to G1.

Long as he not sound like emo-rocker, me ok.

Megatron: SOUNDWAVE! Dispatch Lazerbeak to find our Autobot friends.
Soundwave: (sounding like the singer from My Chemical Romance) Right away, Megatron!

That make me cringe and it only type!
Me just hope he still talk like G1, saying "Operation: whatever" when he send Lazerbeak on mission.


I'm bored, so today's posts are being typed out like Grimlock's speech-patter.

I wouldn't be against him sounding like an oversized Speak-And-Spell again... At the very least, give him the same speech patterns.
