So, as most of you know, in Transformers: Animated, Optimus Prime will have a Fire Truck as his Vehicle Mode, but only the truck's cab will become his Robot Mode.

the mystery is, what will be the use, if any, of the back section of the Fire Truck? my guesses are either:
A) a mobile command center,
B) armor for a "Super Mode", or
C) a stationary projectile weapon(a laser cannon).

anybody else have any ideas?

My guess is the the back section will disappear most of the time. Why? Because it is hilarious.

I am SICK TO DEATH of supermodes and armor on Optimus Prime toys..

It works great on some incarnations, not so much on others, but either way, is a novelty that has LONG since worn thin.

What made the original Prime so endearing for me, was the fact that he didn't need that crap to equal Megatron and many other cons that, by all rights, should hand him his ass.

I know the 'disappearing trailor/whatever' is a problem, but I don't care. It was overlooked in the 80's, hooray for imagination, and should be today as well.

That Prime and his disappearing bits got us this far.....

I actually liked super modes, they were pretty dang cool to me. and if the trailer can't be used, what's the point in having it.

Oh, you've got to be kidding me, this damned Americanised spellchecker on firefox wants me to write ax instead of axe now! I'm going to have to figure out how to turn the blasted thing off.

They have dropped the super mode it was confirmed buy hasbro its just supposed to dissapear i think the toys is like an axe or somthing.

I like super modes too....in some instances...

RID Prime was nifty, Armada Prime was horrible, 'gestalt' Prime from Engeron just wasn't Prime for me despite being a pretty cool TF, Cybertron Prime was just MORE OF THE SAME.

What's the point of those trailers or whatever? They are apart of the 'disguise'. Even to this day TF's pull guns out of nowhere.... Why have them?

The number 1 thing I want to see in a second TF Movie, would be Prime pulling a trailor, getting called into battle, and causing a massive traffic jam b/c he transformed into robot mode and just left it behind in the middle of the street.

Thats it here is the vehichle mode i think thats it the rest goes into the robot the trailer dose not look that big.

from what i've seen, it's a rocket-propelled axe, for a faster and more powerful attack
