Was it just me or did they cut some sections?
Its been a while since i saw it but im sure the space battle (when Ironhide, Prowl, Brawn and Ratchet buy it) was longer.

The only thing I noticed was different was the fade to black was missing between the cassetes fighting and Blurr shooting.

There did seem to be something up with the frame rate in a number of scenes though. Never knew the credits had a short version.

And I have finally seen some G1 transmitted on TV.

1. Fananga posted his comment before the film was shown!?

2. Broadcasters often shorten the credits because they feel viewers will drift to other channels if there is 5 to 10mins of rolling credits. It shouldnt be allowed as the people who made the film or program deserve to be credited, even if it is 20 years old.

I know why brodcasters do it, I just wasn't expecting it. Only ever seeing the movie on vid/dvd, I didn't know a short version was gonna appear. I was enjoying the end theme and suddenly it ended.

Do broadcasters do that, or do teh film makers create a short ending that they use on the reels they send to the stations?

Fananga really confused me with that. I thought either you had missed it, or there was some strange time warp going on.

Its the broadcasters. If you watch you can sometimes see the edit where the last part of the credits is overlayed usually just after the cast listings. You sometimes also see that they are overlayed at different speeds to further reduce the air time required.

If the film makers provided a short ending it wouldnt be a cheap cut and shut they would make a proper, quality version. Although I doubt they would make it as the people who got cut out wouldnt be too happy with their employers.

Why broadcast credits when you can broadcast a preview for another program or an advert which brings in more revenue.

Ah, thank you. I always wondered where the short credits came from.

There was no time warp. It was on Last Weekend too on one of the channels. Dont remember which one.
Was either Jetix or Nickelodeon or something near there on the dial.

If you saw it on another channel, perhaps they did edit it. I can't say as I only saw it on ITV4.

It was on Nickleodeon. I watched up to the Unicron head floating round bit just before credits roll, then I just flipped over. So I dunno about the credits.

The shuttle battle scene did seem a bit shorter than I remember...

Aye, series three be a good one. And best animation. Though my favourite series be 2. Great storylines, improved animation, unforgettable moments and the intro of Rampage. Someone who I truly feel for. A crazed psycopathic killer? Nae, just a lonely soul with nee one to help who has been burned, tortured and mistreated by everyone. Is it any wonder the big lug turned out the way he did? Had some great lines though, that crab did.

Shame though Chugster I only be having Freeview. Those channels ye be mentioning are not seeable from my ship's crows nest.

Arrgh! I wasn't speaking pirate till you turned up Frimal!
