Dear God I wish people would stop opening these. Well anyway I think it might be the best serries ever made. The animation is good strictly cartoon network animation wich is great. Best Wars story writer is back and he has made the best stories from all transformers. Less CHaracters so more character development. All good characters look i can even name them all havent been able to do this sense beastwars.
------------------------------------------------------------
Autobots-Optimus Prime,Bumblebee,Prowl,Ratchet,Bumblebee,Grimlock,Slag,Swoop, BulkHead

Decepticons-Megatron,Starscream,Lugnut,Blitzwing,Lockdown,Blackarachnia(<---thx hasbro and cartoonnetwork for this character),Soundwave,Shockwave.

Cameos-Ultra Magnus,Blurr,Arcee.Wreak-GAR
------------------------------------------------------------
I am also very excited about the toys. But this serries looks like its going to be awsome.

Aargh! Nice character list. Admittedly they be having a nice cast and everything, but it be a Beast Machines writer, not a Beast Wars writer that they bought back Aargh! Otherwise, I would be looking forward to it massively AargH!

BeastMachines had good writing to the one problem was it was to it was just to organic techno. I still think it had a good story just to much I AM TRANSFORMED crap. But hey I wached the pannel he said he wouldnt make that mistake again. But didnt he help on beastwars?

Aargh! I agree with you, Beast Machines wasn't too bad, just too 'hippy' for me tastes. And no, he didn't help with Beast Wars (I'm pretty sure anyway), Hasbro went with a completely new team for Beast Machines Aargh! And as long as he doesn't make the same mistake as he did then, Animated can't be too bad Aargh!

Yep if he would take all the hippy out and add more action in yeah it will be completely awsome. But you are right it was just a little to hippy. Still had good stories to and extent of avoiding the hippy part.

I personally love the new animations, and I also like that the toys look exactly like the cartoon!

Megatron's line was AWESOME! "Cripple the ship, but do not destroy it yet."

It seems to be some kind of ODB (Official Disgruntled Brits thread) thing... Maybe they're practising for International Talk Like A Pirate Day on September 19th?

LOL. Anyway, what do you think about Prime's voice? He sounded too young to be a Prime.

I seem to recall it being brought up that Optimus in this show is new to the job; that might account for the (relative) youth of his voice.

All in all, I was put off initially, but with each new clip, interview and image I've gained a lot more faith that this show could be a proper introduction to TF lore for the urchins. :)

 Sweet. Now in the first preview at comicon, Megatron's jet mode didn't look like the movie, but in robot mode, He has the same head sculpt, a lot more red , and an arm cannon. Spada
on Tfwire says " A really, REALLY BIG arm cannon." Any thoughts on this?

Great, my birthday. I hope this stays quiet...

Anyhow, I think Animated is just gonna be great. Like the movie, all our complaining is gonna bite back. Hopefully it'll enjoy a good life.

Har har harrr, ye should visit the thread. It's quite a read it is!

Now I wish I had access to a fine Piratey emoticon, so that we can truly express ourselves.

Indeed, the animated seems to be shaping into a mighty fine boon. While the animation be a little out thar as far as me personal tastes are concerned, and the toys are somewhat too stylised for me, the show itself seems to be shaping up very nicely.

Arrrr.

It's an interesting twist to have David Kaye provide Optimus, considering we know how his Badguy Megatron goes. But I like the youthful approach. We saw a young Optimus in War Dawn, I think that it would be a nice change of pace to see him grow more as a leader, much like Primal did.

Design wise, I'm a bit skeptical about it. I like it, but it feels very anime, chibized. Which on the one hand isn't bad, but I like the transfomers to look like Transformers. I just don't want chunky transformation modes.

Interesting, Cory did Spike and Shockwave, should be fun to hear how he handles Megatron, something that a lot of actors have a hard time stepping into since they have to compete with the way Frank did the voicing.

All Primes must sound serious it seems, and all Megs must sound like they have something stuck up their tail pipe.

As for Sari, I think that she may wake them up, but also I think that she's going to be more of a hands on person. Personally I would have liked it if they had made her older. But hey that's just me.

I think it may well develop into the new G1. That's what it seems Hasbro have planned to me anyway.

I can get used to the animation style, but the toys aren't my style. Which is ok. There's enough transformers for me to buy anyways without adding to the list.

It seems to me that transformers have split down the middle; animated for the younger audience, and the movie(s) for the older fans. Hopefully, when the movies are all done with, we'll see a decent cartoon and accompying toy line continue it.

I forgot about the classics. They seem to cater for the veterans among us, who still love and hold G1 dear to their hearts. I know I do.

I just hope that Classics isn't done with the announced number coming out next year. 2 or 3 more waves... Hopefully Hasbro'll then announce another 3 waves!
