Transformers/Avengers #2-- Love it, or Hate it! (Les Spoilieurs)

So who's read it?

I did pick it up today, and well, I am getting a bit less impressed with the series. The Decepticons have super powers now. Is this supposed to be a bit or a TF Animated preview? (Kidding!!)

Art was decent to good, but I did not find this to be as interesting as the previous issue, but it was cool to see Ramjet introduced. I was looking for the 'new' character, and did not find him-- besides Ramjet, who was not a conehead BTW.

I wish the Autobots would just trash them all, and move on.

The Autobots trying to use non-lethal methods to trap the heroes was a bit corny. Bumping into people, knocking them down, and then trapping them under the car? Using the air bag to try to stop Ms. Marvel?

Not so great, IMO, but good for a laugh or two.

FYI_ It's too Avengers heavy! Needs to be more TF heavy!

I bought the first issue and felt ripped-off. I thought that it was my general lack of caring when it comes to Marvel comics but then I flipped through issue two at the comic shop today and realized something that instantly made me put it back on the rack. Have they seriously wasted two issues of a four issue mini-series standing around the same building? Honestly, I wasn't expecting much when I first heard about this crossover but this is sub-par at best.

Yeah, this was pretty awful. I knew when this was first announced it was a bad idea, and so far i'm not being proven wrong.

I think we've just found the first thing we both agree on.

At least they got the good-guys-fight-with-each-other-before finding-out-they-are-on-the-same-side cliche over with quickly.

Only because Doc Doom zapped them, and Ratchet whipped up another contrived gizmo...

It almost felt like an issue dedicated to the introduction of Doctor Doom like he was some new character. :?

Well in all fairness, to the Autobots he is.

However, I like I said before that's one of the things I don't like, the focus is too much on the MARVEL, not enough on the Transformers.

Stick with GI Joe/TFs, or go JLA/TFs and relate it to when the JLA had the mechs for themselves (what series was that? Not elseworld's I don't think)...

Still the mechs thing didn't work really well in GI joe/TF either, so maybe that's not a good idea.

Ah yes, it's a bad idea because Burn says so, of course! Now where did I put that bag of dog crap..

Anyways, so far pretty good. I enjoy IDW's stories much better, but crossovers are always fun. I too had a good laugh when Wolverine was disabled by being run over. I hope the Ramjet spotlight will be interesting, and am defiantly looking forward to Ironman coming into the mix.

True, but he's pretty much known to the readers.

If they were going to introduce characters to characters then they'd need to introduce all the Avengers as well.

Or just don't do crossovers at all. Never really liked the Joe/TF crossovers either.

Excuse me? Why are you singling out me when others have shared my thoughts on the comic as well?

The cover to this issue is God awful. The person who drew it should never draw again because they made Wolverine look like some fat fanboy or something. Of course this series is better than anything else Marvel is putting out *coughWorld War Hulkcough*.

I swear, it'd better not be because of the "God of Transformers" thing because i'd change that if I could. :P

Wolverine looks like Puck from Alpha Flight on the cover.

BTW, I actually like World War Hulk.

this has been a very dull read for sure at this point, im glad i didnt waste any money on this series....the only cool thing in this issue so far was the small part about megatron not really trusting ramjet because he just got to earth.

Are you talking about Marvel in general, or just mini-series? Cause the current Captain America series is awsome, and is the best current run I've ever read in the ten years I've been collecting Cap(and the only Marvel comic I ever collected new).

But as for TF/Avengers, I picked up issue's #1 and #2 today, and it kind of feels like an old crossover you go into not knowing who the characters really are. It's ok, but something about the way the transformers are drawn in some panels(like Jazz and Bumblebee at the end of issue #1) just doesn't look great to me for some reason. Still, I was gonna get it regardless of how it turned out just cause it sounded interesting. Also, it might have some cool action scenes.

Oh, and Ramjet is the new Decepticon being introduced to the series? That's kinda lame in my opinion, cause it's another Seeker. Could have at least made it someone like....well, I don't know who, but unless he does something great, it's just another seeker.
