Beast Wars was cool. Not quite as cool as the original but far superior to RID and the unicron trilogy

First: Yes, I have the entire series. Beast Wars is what started me on Transformers and is very dear to me.

Second: My favorite character was always Rattrap. “We’re all gona die” pretty much sums up my outlook on life.

I really enjoyed Beast Wars. It was easily the strongest TF cartoon to date.

As the first transformers show to have a running storyline, instead of stand alone episodes really made it a much stronger series.

The writing team did an excellent job on their characters, and the technological limits of CGI in the 90's also turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Frankly, most 60’s horror files are better than the Unicron trilogy.
(It might be better in Japanese, I don’t know.)

Sorry, what I ment to say was The Unicron Trilogy dub sucks but the japanese versions surpass the dubs a long shot.

No other Transformers series released yet can compare to the awesomeness to Beast Wars. I can't pick a favorite character because I like a lot of the characters.

I do have a question; Does anyone think Ravage should've been added to the Predacon team after the Agenda three parter?

Ericus Prime - Yes, even though Ravage didnt have a very big role in BW, I think he should have stayed with the preds before buying the farm.

AUTOBOT HELPER - Ravage is a Jaguar, always has been

I think that would have tipped the scales in the Pred's favour far too much.

I'm not so sure about that. Granted, he's got millions of years of combat experience (which the Maximals and Predacons don't) and a high-tech ship -- can't recall right now what it was -- the Tripredacus Council lent him.

The Agenda arc downplayed Ravage's abilities because after watching those episodes, I come away with the feeling that the only reason the Decepticon was such a threat was due to him having that fighter ship. That and, quite frankly IMO, he died too easily. Maybe it's just me, but I think the writers could've made it into a five- or six-parter so as to avoid that kind of perception.

They didnt have the time to give Ravage the 5-6 parter that he did need (and it could have been used to flesh out the "downgrading" from Autobots and Decepticons into Maximals and Predacons) with only 13 episodes in seasons 2 and 3, there just was no room for him, and what episodes would you have dropped from seasons 2-3 to accommodate the extra episodes?
Each episode of Beast Wars was important.

I just got BW Season 1, and man, oh man is it ever fun to watch. Although G1 is where my heart lies, BW does an absolutely incredible job of telling a story, and it's a crucial part of G1 canon at any rate.

"Possession" has got to be one of the best episodes of any TF series for me, bar none. Starscream in Waspinator's body = massive ownage. :D
