The fact that Unicron's outer ring is overlapping the buildings thus making him look like the size of a beach ball?

Yea I noticed that a long time ago.

The only thing I can guess about that picture is that it's supposed to be Starscream, but apparently has changed into Thundercracker. Is that it?

He has Starscream's wing. (If that's the mysterious item were supposed to see...wow. Talk about anal.)

.....

ok I'll point it out.

If you look closely... Unicron is NOT changing depth perception and for the first time in history, it he is beHIND the building that is on the planet. I know it's hard to tell but it's been fixed.

and yes, that is now skywarp, not starscream!!!!!!!!!!! As it should be

1.) Kranix and the other "guys" are looking up into the sky where they see a larger building and, above their planet, Unicron.

2.) Skywarp and Thundercracker were also in the invading army on the shuttle, so it isn't as big of a deal as if they hadn't been.

I still can't believe there's a thread on this...

If that is the scene where they are attacking Ratchet, Prowl, Ironhide, and Brawn, then yes, that is supposed to be Starscream. I even checked the video.

Now fix all the other mistakes. Whack it on a DVD with cleaned up audio, but original sound effects, just cleaned up, and send it to me. Then I'll be impressed.

:P

Are you saying that Skywarp wasn't supposed to be there? Because he certainly arrived with Starscream et al as we see him (and Dirge) sit in some of the shuttle's seats with Soundwave and an Insecticon after the fact.

The Seeker in the OP picture is supposed to be Skywarp because we see Megatron transform into gun mode, Starscream holding Megatron, then it cuts to another 'Starscream' (the one in the picture) that isn't holding Megatron, then back to the real Starscream who is still holding Megatron. The Seeker in the picture obviously isn't Dirge and since he's not holding Megatron in either hand, it must be Skywarp (I'm not sure if Thundercracker boards the shuttle but it could be him too).

And the fixing of the depth-perception is interesting, too. Where did these fixes come from?

What color are Thundercracker's wings supposted to be? :???: Aren't most Seeker wings (aside from Skywarp's) uusally silver with red stripes?

I've watched that scene a few times and I can't find that anywhere. There always appears to be just Starscream, no "imposters". The only ones fighting the autobots are the Constructicons, Starscream, and Megatron in gun form. Where is this still from?

I don't know where this particular 'fixed' still is from, but if you watch this video you can see it unedited in the full scene. The still is from about 41/42 seconds in.

Dirge= bronze, with white (and red) stripes
Ramjet= red, with white (and cyan) stripes
Skywarp= black with purple (and white) stripes
Starscream= silver with red (and white) stripes
Sunstorm= gold with red (and white) stripes
Thrust= red and black with red(and white) stripes
Thundercracker= blue with red (and white) stripes

most seekers have red (toy stickered) highlightes somewere on there wings but all have white striping

Starscream is holding megatron the whole time after megs transformes.

So the other seeker that appears, hiding with the constructicons, doesn't have megatron in his hand. So it can't be Starscream.

After the scene ends, Skywarp is seen flying into the captains seat next to Soundwave. So it would be easy to surmise that Skywarp was intended to be hiding in the entry hole, mis-colored as starscream. Realize this is old animation and there is a very time-consuming process involving many people to get scenes prepared to be shot frame by frame. Since the seekers all shared the animation model, the colorists would often paint the cels the wrong character's colors. It was not easy to fix this as the end of production neared. This mistake was common-place in the regular cartoon series.

So I have replaced the duplicate Starscream with Skywarp. And there is more, MUCH more where this came from. :-)

I had always wished they'd do this properly and release it on DVD. Actually going back and FIXING the movie, would be a lot better than digging up a few seconds of unused footage and brightening the picture, throwing it in the bargain bin and calling it remastered. So we can all buy a movie we probably already own three copies of.

Fix Starscream's canopy, fix the twin frenzies, fix the seekers etc. With today's technology it shouldn't be that hard to do. And I'm sure a lot of us would be happy to pay for it.

For a team of professionals, I'm not convinced that changing a few colours would be the most taxing job they could be given.

the newest remastered edition is bloody fantastic though. it really does look like a brand new film.
