Good news everyone who didn't pick them up originally back in 2004/05. Robots In Disguise is being completely re-released on DVD in the UK. It will be in 2 packs again, but with different covers.

Much better and much less confusing than the original covers which were both the same except for the background colour.

That is nice but were is the love for the US Release we always get the shaft in the US and I sincerly doubt that we will ever see it here in the states. We never get anything in the states here and we are still waiting on the rest of Cybertron and Energon on DVD. It takes even longer since it only comes out in single dvd;s instead of box sets. And since the closing of paramounts animation studious Now we will never ever get a re-release of the classice g1 box-sets.
So maybe Rhino can get the rights back and re-make these again, And I wanna see RiD it has been almost a decade since it was on TV i completly forgot what it was about but it was a short series since it got canceled and never finished. I do remember that Optimus was a fire truck and megatron was a dragon and it had some from beast wars in it.
But to bad it will never ben out in the US the same as
The Headmasters
Victory
Super God Master Force
correct if I am wrong is Beast Wars 2 and G2 only comics or were they on tv in japan.

Oh boy did you just open up a can of worms! I can hear the Brits coming already. We get all of the toys, and they have a very hard time with distribution.
Anyway, I'm thinking of taking Ryan's suggestion from his earlier post about hacking my DVD player so that I can get these.

I wonder now, how much will it be cause I just might have to import this, that is unless MadMan does a better version.
Anyone know if there is a plan for that?

Does anyone know where I can preorder these? I have a region free DVD player so I can play the discs no problem. It be nice to watch this series since I never seen it originally, has this series ever aired in the U.S.?
Edit: Nevermind, I found them on Amazon.uk and preordered them with a few others that I wanted.

You cannot be serious! Life for TF fans in the States is pretty sweet. You get all the figures and most of the (good) series on disc. And you get shafted?
Get a grip sonshine. Really.

You're probably better off importing. Madman have not yet announced that they have the rights to this series, and they have all the Japan only series yet to dub/sub and release, so even if they do end up with the rights, it could be sometime before they would release it.

So
Let me see if i'm getting this,
you guys in the US get all the toy releases first and okay you have a few distribution problems but you have all waves from the lines.
We in the Uk get a few waves, miss a few then the final wave, and 2 years later find the remaining waves in a toy shops after the line has finished and were at the end of the next series of toys. the only way to complete a series of figures in the UK is to buy from Ebay. BBTs or other US or Japan based sellers, and Hasbro change the $ to a £
and your complaining about a release of RiDPlease

No i am complaining that we still havent got the rest of out Cybertron and Energon done on dvd I mean it has been done on tv for almost 2 years now. Also look how long it took us to get Armada season 2 done almost 4 to 5 years. I am just saying thing are slack here in the US and everything is a screwed up mess cause no one knows who owns what anymore and things keep on getting shut down and moved around so much.

The Energon and Cybertron DVD issues are not a US only problem.
Paramount owns the distribution rights to both shows, and has pretty much kept their reasoning for not releasing any further DVD's to themselves.

I don't think the UK has even seen Energon and Cybertron DVDs yet.
If the US get's shafted, I think we Brits get asked to just be friends.
Seriously. We only just got Reissue Soundwave early this month.

Nah, we have one or two Energon ones, and I'm sure I've seen a Cybertron DVD out in the shops too. Not much like, and pretty pointless if they're supposed to be a trilogy and the first part (Armada) isn't going to be released in full to begin with.
You're right about us not getting shafted though. More like they've put out a restraining order on us.
