Headmasters is the only Transformers series that i haven't seen.

I recorded the first episode last night on sky+ and watch it this morning...omg how rubbish is it?

The animation is awesome, much better that series 1-3 and when i saw sixshot i nearly cried tears of joy. However the voice overs are terrible...all the same english guy for some reason. Grimlock was speaking perfect english, that made no sense seeing as he is supposed to be a dumb as a toilet brush.

Anyway crazy stuff...too many new characters too quickly and a few major errors.

The Headmasters series is a great series if you give it a chance and can stomach the awful voices and music.

If only they'd used the American voice over actors and music it could have been up there with Beast Wars.

They are showing the Singapore 'Star TV' dubs?

Oh dear. That's not a good thing. Headmasters is a brilliant series, but only if it's subbed. Like the Metrodome box sets. The dub for it is pure tripe.

They're using the "one guy on drugs doing the voices" dub? Fantastic! I've got the DVD of about the first six episodes, but I need to see the further adventures of Wally, Sparkle and Phillip. Not to mention Ninja Consultant, Sixshot. I wish I could hire a ninja consultant.

I think you've found the only good part of the Star TV dub.
I'm not usually fussy but in this case Sub > Dub.

It's as if they didn't think being a ninja was quite cool enough. Although I'm not sure that "consultant" is quite the right word to add for coolness. It makes it sound like Sixshot doesn't actually ninj himself, but sits by the side of a battle saying things like "No, you should stab him in the throat, THEN kick him in the face. But other than that, very good."

Why are the Brits so disgruntled again? Over in America we would never get something like this. Too many parents would sue for "false advertising" when their kids find out that there aren't any headmasters on the shelves. Sigh. People are so quick to sue in America.

Tell you what: we'll trade you the really **** dub of Headmasters in return for getting better releases of the toylines.

Why are we disgruntled? 2 reasons:

It's in our nature as Officially Disgruntled Brits.

You try watching 36 episodes all dubbed like this and not be disgruntled. And yes, he calls Metroplex Phillip. That isn't the only one to be called wrong either. Sparkle, Billy, it's all bad. At one point, Galvatron is suppossed to scream out in murderous rage, but in these dubs, he just lazily yawns. Watch episode two, and ask yourself: After witnessing that, would he really yawn???
These dubs don't even have the insert songs on, making one of the most important (and brilliant battles) absolutley boring!

*Hugs subbed Metrodome Headmasters box and pokes an eye out on a corner.*
