I know many of us are loathe to the idea of human companions, since I don't know, say Daniel Witwicky, or perhaps more recently this Summers':

Humans - The Movie guest staring the Transformers.

Where was I?

Oh yeah, the new series. I'm really looking forward to it, particularly human's allying themselves with Decepticons. Something I cried out for Kicker to do and was immensely pleased with in Super God Masterforce with the Junior Headmasters and Giga and Mega. Buster and Hydra just creeped me out...

:P

So yeah, in the spirit of Dr. Archeville, Sean Burger, Wilder, Bullhorn et al bring Nanosec and a plethora more on.

;;)

I always thought it would be cool for a character to actually aid the decepticons because they wanted to gain tech from them.

How much you want to bet that the Scientest in the show doesn't know that Megs is evil?

Plausible.

But he's a mean looking one, and with a sword that prevalent?

We'll have to wait and see.

I've always liked human characters in TFs when done right Kicker in Superlink was a great example, the kids in Galaxy Force were almost as good. I'm looking forward to Animated I hope not to be disappointed.

I think human interaction with Transformers is a good thing. While they're on earth anyway. There are certain prerequisites however.

In the case of G1, the Transformers were always more powerful than anything the humans could throw at them. So in that case it's unlikely to me that the Decepticons would have bothered engaging them at all. With the exception of Sean Berger, even though that plot was poorly written.

For me in order to justify Decepticon interaction with humans they would have to be at least somewhat vulnerable to them. For them to interact on any friendly level they'd have to be able to provide the Decepticons with something they couldn't get on their own, such as intelligence, using them to infiltrate the Autobots somehow. Using promises of power, threats, or blackmail, etcetera.

The Autobots wanting to protect humans while simultaneously fighting a war would probably be LESS inclined to interact with humans than the Decepticons would, in order to protect them. The Decepticons consider them vermin, and would be glad just to use them as fodder against the Autobots.

At a stretch I could see the Autobots cooperating with the human military in order to organize strikes against the Decepticons, that is if the humans had already become actively involved in a fight against the Decepticons. Of course the humans are going to want to have pieces of dead Decepticons or even living specimens to improve their own technology, the Autobots probably won't want that.

There's more I could say, but I think you get the general idea of my opinions. Sadly in the case of Transformers Animated, which of course is going to be very child oriented, none of this would ever be used. =(

Kicker should've joined the 'Cons. Still there was always Misha.

*sigh*

The kids in Cybertron really just annoyed me, even though they proved more effectual than half the bots.

Sorry, the only fleshy things from Cybertron that I really remember are Dr. Lucy Suzuki and Lori.
