His stuff is terrible. Most of the Dreamwave comics look slick if you flick through 'em, but the closer you look the worse they get. Poor perspective, shoddy storytelling, absolutely dire humans... that's Pat Lee. He pulled off a few decent pin-ups by some miracle, but he has not a shred of talent for sequential art.

Face it, Pat Lee is the Liefeld of TF comics.

And I think that he deserves to get the crap beaten out of him for not paying his employees.

I dont care for his style, nor his business etiquette.

But I am glad DW went down the gurgler, meant we got all this great IDW stuff!

Too true. I didn't like Lee's art. The TF's looked inflated and some of the lines are just so incorrectly aligned they look wonky.

As Bigchin said, I like (most of) his stuff at first glance, but it gets less and less good the more you look at it, and the heavy outline style he almost invariably uses works okay for pin-ups, but not for sequential or diorama pictures. And yeah, Steve, his humans leave a lot to be desired.
I think a lot of his 'superstar' status was due to his own bigging up more than anything else, and trying to create a 'house style' for DW (i.e. "everyone has to draw more like ME") was right out.
I'm sorry DW went down to some extent, but only for the sake of the unfinished stories. IDW's doing a far better job all round as far as I see it; it doesn't hurt, of course, that they've taken on several members of DW's old creative staff...

He he... I've just found an 'interesting' wiki article on Teletraan-1 regarding Lee's style... :))

If Infiltration #0 was drawn by Pat Lee, I would not have picked up any of the other issues. Then I would have none but the Marvel Graphic Novels I seem to have aquired suddenly.

Especially looking through that article Ramrider. Nice find.
