Rodimus Prime Trailer

I'd always been under the impression that Rodimus Prime, unlike Optimus, transforms with his trailer. However, rewatching Season 3's Only Human has him leaving his trailer behind as the front part alone becomes his robot mode.

Which is which?

All I know is Rodimus Prime's Trailer comes apart and can form a gun platform on the toy, its only the front part that becomes the Robot (well including the legs that fit under the trailer part in Alt mode).

In the movie the trailer was part of Roddy's robot mode, I think they changed it for the series and the first toys (don't quote me on the last part, I only have the movie handy).

They should have had him use his trailer gun in the series.

Only Human and Face of the Nijika were the only times his trailer was seperate. All other times, it was a part of him.

If you notice, Magnus also leaves his trailor in Only Human, yet is the full robot.

 There's proof toon Magnus was not a white Prime!

It's not 'leaving it behind' as such, but doesn't it 'meet him' in "Call of the Primitives"?

Chalk it up to classic G1 animation errors.

It depends on what episode you watch.

No it was more like 30% of the time we see him separat from his trailer or his trailer come to him as he transformers. There were time that when he disconected from his trailer.....just before he changes to robot mode....for a split second....you see his Hot Rod car mode. What I find more interesting about only human is that they use the comic book design for Arcee other then the one they used trew out the rest of the series. The parts that are always behind her shoulders in every other episode are in front of her shoulders in this episode just like it was in Marvels books.

actually in call of the primatives, his trailer section becomes his legs.

yes, its in the episode 'the face of Nijika'. the trailer seperates leaving the 'hot rod' car before he transforms, and then when he is on solid ground, he transforms into the car, and th trailer section races up behind him

Yes, you see his car mode just before his trailer joins him from off screen, but it was still seperate.

Also, I never noticed that about Arcee. I'm gonna have to keep an eye out next time I watch that ep.
