Is it just me or this "Neil Uyatake" or whatever his name is got an identical lettering style to Ben Lee of Dreamwave? Look at the Megatron Origin comics. The lettering looks near identical to Dreamwave lettering.

Good spot if it is! I'll freely admit that lettering is an art form of which I am ignorant and I don't have any DW issues to hand for comparison.

Maybe they got a font and the letterer in this case is just the one putting the letters in digitally not by his own hand.
I know that one of the German manga publishers as a font of at least on of their letterers handwriting (who is an extremely busy person).

It does look so similar that if they are not the same font, they may as well be.

It's a good font, easy to read.

Yeah, it's better than the really bad looking font they were using for Infiltration. Hopefully they'll start using the Dreamwave style font in their other comics too.

IT is quite probable that they are doing the lettering on the computer, probably in Photoshop, or InDesign. The standard font looks like Comic Sans which was used for all diaglogue in the DW run, even for the Transformers themselves. IDW sues it for the Humans, but not the TFs, at least not in Infiltration. I'm not sure what the font used for them is.

Comic Sans? Are you sure? It looks different than the kind that I can use in Word. Anyway, they use the same font Dreamwave used outside of Infiltration for the Transformers, and they've moved away from that godawful font from the looks of it.

It sure as heck ain't Comic Sans font, but it's definitely a derivative of it.

No, I'm not. I just went through in InDesign using a full alphabet both capitols and lowercase to compare it, and it does not match. I also looked at Chalkboard, and that too was not a match. I would have to goo through a few thousand of my fonts to try and match it, which would take way too long.
