Hi guys, I've recently started collecting TF comics again and I've been interested in this series. I got a bunch of Escalation comics today, but I missed Infiltration. I only read the first few when it first started coming out, but now none of the comic stores around town have any left. I was wondering if there was anywhere on line I could go to read them? Also are the Spotlight comics important to the story line?
Thanks for the help.

I just started reading them to, it was the release of the optimus spotlight that got me into it.
But I just went to my local comic store and picked up the TPB of infiltration for about 20 USD.
going to be picking up escalation and stormbringer soon.

Just about every comic shop I've been in has back issues of most of IDW's books stocked. So, they should be easy to get. Plus, you should always support the comic book industry!

As nice as it is to have the individual issue, it's much easier (to buy, as well as store) the Trade Paper Back version, which collects all 6 volumes, as well as a cover gallery in one thin book.
It's also mildly cheaper.

Can they be ordered online from IDW's website?

I've had trouble locating the TPB, as where back issues still seem to be in abundance.

I've gotten TPBs at both Hastings and Borders. I also ordered a few from Booksamillion.com. Even my comic book store has them.

My first TPB's, Infiltration, Stormbringer, and The Movie Adap, I found at a military PX. They had plenty too. They also had Escalation, but at the time I didn't wanna spend so much, so I just ordered it along with the rest of my collection, off Amazon.com

Since no one has answered this question:
The Spotlights are not critical to understanding the main story arcs. They serve as more background to them (Explaining where Ore 13 came from, how and why certain characters are where they are and in that condition). You do not need them, but they add alot to the whole universe and they all tie in to the main arcs somehow. Or they will in the future. Each issue is an individual story as well, so you don't need to worry about missing an issue before getting the next one.
Recammend picking them up if you can. There is a TDB of the first five issues out.

I'd like to add to that. If you never read the Spotlights, the main arc will make perfect sense to you and you won't feel like you're missing anything. However, I feel like the spotlights are essential to your overall Furmanverse experience. Not only do they add background information, but all the seeds sown in the spotlights will eventually show up in the main arc. Also, they magnify the interconnections of plot threads. So you may see a new character or faction introduced into the main and your reaction will just be "Cool now he's in the story" or "I wonder where that will go." If you read the spotlights, you'll have more information to speculate upon and probably say something like, "Ohhhh, I see why he's on earth now" or "I wonder how that new faction's agenda will effect (insert main plot thread)." And they introduce many characters that have yet to make their way to the main conflict on earth. The first appearance of most of the characters have occurred in the Spotlights and its best place to see all of those characters that have yet to get much panel space.
So yeah, I'd get it if you are able to. The seeds and plots of the first Spotlight TPB show up quite a bit in Escalation. Once you've read them, you can't imagine the story without them. And one of the main plots (and a secondary plot) of Devastation spins out of a couple of those spotlights.

Do you have a Star Card? You get a discount on top of Booksamillion.com's discount. I would've gotten BW for 9.53 had they had it in stock!

Well I managed to find the Infiltration TPB today at Chapters and I got the missing Escalation comic I didn't get earlier this week, so I got that series up to date. Once I get those read I may consider getting more of the Spotlights, I already have Prime's, as well as Stormbringer since it looked interesting.
