Yes. It was supposed to come out last week, but a printing error forced a two week delay.

It'll be out on the 7th. (And issue two will be out soon afterwards, to get the releases back on track.)

Dude, is it just me or is IDW starting to look like DW? That's just dumb. I really hope they don't follow the same path as DW.

I wish they looked like Dreamwave. I can't stand how the bots in Infiltration/Escalation look.

You want the Transformers done in the "Puffy Pat" style? And you want the issues three weeks late?

The robots in the main title look as if they can actually transform, the people in charge talk to the fandom and keep us informed, Beast Wars (old DW project) aside the stories have been relatively free of fanwank, etc.

So... no, from my perspective.

Well maybe not the three weeks late part. I never saw the "puffy" or "fish tank boobs" thing everyone else was griping about. To me he made Prime and any other transformer for that matter bulky and strong, like they are suppose to be. Prime was the best of them all in my eyes because he made him look the strongest. I still think that Pat Lees designs were, and still are the best out there. Don F Second and Alex M third.

Yup, I still think that's my favorite style of Transformers art. I'm not taking anything away from anyone who doesn't like it, that's not mine to do. Mind you, looking the truck mode the windows do seem a bit hazardous :P

Hahahahaha, I know it's not everyones cup o' tea. Out of curiosity of the conversation, and I'm not trying to start an arguement or anything like that, but what is your favorite style of art and favorite Artist? I guess that question goes out to everyone, BTW.

Put me down for Lee and DW G1 Vol 1. :))

I don't think it comes down to being a matter of taste or preference -- that isn't the front of a truck. Something red with windows on the front (and, conspicuously, not the sides) but not a truck.

Yeah, should be in stores today (maybe tomorrow or Friday if you aren't in the US -- I know comics stores in the UK tend to be a day or two behind.)

I was told that the books were shipped last week but were recalled at the last moment due to a printing error. The books were subsequently destroyed after the recall. This seems like an extremely expensive mistake that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I have a PDF copy of issue #1 from IDW, I'll have to do some comparisons to see if there's anything that I can find that's different between the two versions.

IDW is most certainly NOT like DW in any way shape or form. Just because they had a book get delayed a week doesn't mean they're having the problems DW did. Heck, even Marvel has books that are put out late (Civil War, anyone?).

Our PDFs were correct as far as the page layouts went. Whatever got sent out to Newsarama initially wasn't and had the mistake (all of the layout from an earlier page reproduced on top of page five or six instead of the text that should've been there.)

It's a fairly expensive mistake if IDW's liable. If the printers got the print file with the duped layout, but were notified in good time and given the clean version before things were due to print -- and then they used the earlier copy they had on file rather than the current one, due to internal comms -- the error could equally well be at their end.

My supplier's been shorted on his copies of Escalation #4, so I'm getting a paper copy when those come in, but the preview that I'm told's in there is presumably because those issues went to print a long time ago...

...with the redrawing, there must've been changes on prequel #1 right up until things went to print.
