Hi guys, a while ago i've heard that the dinobots where actualy a combiner group that formed a robot named Monstrus.
i was sure it was just a rumor until i came across some cgi 3d pics of this giant in a web site called "Iacon City" and it also turns out that there were 2 more dinobots besides the original 5.
is this a real thing or is it just a myth ? and if so then were was this giant seen ? was it in the comic books ? :-?

It's mostly fanfiction, i believe there was one canon appearance where the combiner goes unnamed and appears as a grotesque and uncontrollable monster.http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Beast

The two other dinobots were a creation of the guy who does iacon city, some of the stuff there is really well done, but not official.

But apparently there was a sixth dinobot, another sauropod based one, called paddles http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Paddles

Check out the Teletraan-1 link and it says he comes from a story, called 'Paddles', by Jean Rabe, in the Transformers Legends anthology.

There's also mention of another character, presumably also a creation of Rabe, a Decepticon jukebox-former called Raze. I have no idea if Legends is an official Hasbro-licensed book, but unless it is, then Paddles is no more a Dinobot than the IaconCity pair. Hell, I created a couple myself years ago, when I reformatted the Dinos as a combiner. They're not official either.

This book was ony avalible with the Metrdom season 2 part 2 DVD box set and was only released to the U.K. market.I'm not sure you can call this book canon.......at least not by the words most common use.To begin with the book can not fit into any previously-established continuity for many reasons.
First off for G1 toon continuity, the fact that the story had such characters as optimus Prime,Megatron and Starscream means that it takes place before the events in the Movie. And this story featured the deaths of a few characters that we know to be alive after the movie such as Menasour. Not to mention that we get the inprestion that the Preadacons are built by the Quintasons and even if not the autobots had no info on them befor their first appearance in 5 faces of darkness.......so how were they in this book.
And this book can not fit into the Marvels G1's U.K. or U.S. continuity's because of the inclusion of Springer.
It also can not fit into Dreamwaves continuity ither becaust the Preadacons were living in exsile on an other planet and the Coneheads didnt serve under Megatron.
At best this book can be compaired to the mini-comic book that came along with the Armada and Energon toys.

Here is a link to the story

Apparently the TF wiki has quite a lot of humour in it...
