Something about Verity Carlo that I didn't notice until I started reading the TF Wiki.

Why does she have six fingers on each hand? Is this deliberate? Is E.J. Su trying to indicate something? I can't believe it's a goof as to mistakingly draw a human with six fingers on each hand (or five fingers and a thumb) seems a rudimentary error. So...what the deuce?

How bizarre? Does she always appear to have six fingers on each hand or was it just in that cell?

I don't know. I'm at work ("work") so I don't have any issues handy to check.

According to the TF Wiki's page for Infiltration #0 she also has six fingers (or five fingers and a thumb) when she points her knife at the bag on the bus (to steal the palmtop).

I just looked though issue #0 and she does have 5 fingers (one thumb) on the knife pointing cell. However on ever other cell than the two mentioned she has the normal quota of fingers on each hand. Looks like it was a silly mistake rather than intentional.

Ok, that is wierd, never noticed that either.

I'm gonna have to thumb through the rest of Infiltration when I get home(I let my brother borrow Escalation, and haven't gotten Devastation yet).

It's either unintentional, or Verity is really some kind of Quintesson experiment.

I never noticed that, I bet it's just a mistake.

Probably, though it's bizarre that anyone would even accidentally draw a person with extra fingers, let alone that it slipped by the colourist and editor as well.

It hapens quite often to me, and it hapens with BW, I mean Depthcharge and Rattrap that can't decide if they have three ore 5 fingers?

That's kind of different, though. They're fictional creatures. There's no real point of reference for a Cybertronian hand! We're quite familiar with human hands(admittedly, lots of us probably take our own anatomies for granted and might not pay too much attention) and a penciller must use hands for his craft! It's not like someone colouring Skywarp as Thundercracker. It just struck me as an odd detail, particularly as the issue came out in 2005 and I'd never heard of it / noticed myself before (other people obviously have, though).

Anyway, it's one of those weird but fun things.

Awesomesauce!!!

Nice find Leo. Strange that it was missed by the editor and colourist, but when you ain't on the lookout for mistakes, you wont find them.

Um, guys? That's just the edge of her palm. She has the normal finger count. Well, on one hand, anyway. Huh.

And the edge of her palm is seriously out of place? It's below her last finger... Which makes it a finger.

I was about to say it's a percpective error, then i counted the fingers on top of the spray can.

I'm thinking the artist (pincler) drew the hands only holding the spray can's, then was asked to have her fingers on the nozzle. It is a shame that it slipped by though.

:-? The inker may have tried to cover it up...

It is certainly a mistake. I think the extra digits were added in as it's hard to pick up by just looking at the picture, I really had to look for the extra finger on each hand. I also just went and check Infiltration, she has normal five digit hands in ever other panel I checked. Actually in a panel just before the one where she is holding the spray bottles it shows her hand fully spread out and it only has the five fingers on it, and I could not find any evidence else where that she had the extra finger.

So looks like she is just a normal human.

In the intial post I mentioned that she's supposed to have six fingers in another panel, too. I've just checked it (on page 3, panel 4) and it's debatable. She has either one thumb and five fingers, with her forefinger on the unseen side of the blade, or she has the normal amount of fingers but her forefinger is incredibly long and doesn't follow perspective-wise.

She definitely has six digits in the panel I linked to, though. Rereading this has reminded me how much I enjoyed this issue when it came out.

Yes, she does have six digits in the panel you linked to, and I see what you mean by the other panel. However, those are only two panels in a what? 14 or 15 comic series (so far)and in every other panel I've checked with her in it, many that show her hand much more clearly then those two, she has clearly 5 digits.

O, certainly, I'm not disagreeing. I checked it myself earlier on!
