IDW Art of Transformers Book-- I got it, did anybody else drop $50?

However, even though it was $50, I thought it was 50 very well spent, and worthwhile dollars.

The art is phenomenal. They show samples from all the different artists who have contributed to IDW's Transformers showing G1, BW, or Movie related items.

On most of the regular artists they also do a small interview, which I found quite cool. 6 questions or so, on influences, style/approaches to creation, who they'd like to do next in the TF universe and a couple more.

There are at least 2 or 3 small fold out posters. Don's BW wrap around cover is one, I want to say it was Ej's covers to Infiltration was another poster.

They also had the complete Don Stormbringer 4 cover set in totality, as well as, all of Guido Guidi's G1 Character Card Pics that IDW was giving away free at Botcon in Lexington. That was a most welcome surprise.

There are some sketches, but most of it is material from the books reprinted in larger/glossier size, quite a few choice pictures.

I was certainly geeked flipping through it. I hope at the end of next year they do another with more art, covering more of Megatron Origins, Devastation, the new Spotlights, and Animated.

It's AU$70 here.

Will drop that in an upcoming week at one point or another. Looks like quality stuff.

Yeah, another fool and his money... In this case though, it is so worth it. Flip through it first though, just to make sure.
