Who is the Best Prime in the Unicron Trilogy, cartoon characterization-wise?

so i've been watching the first 15 episodes of Cybertron now, and i noticed that in every episode where OP meets Megatron, despite having the kick-arse weapon system, OP always gets his butt pwned by Megs when facing-off.

so is Cybertron OP really this weak, or are the previous incarnations (Armada, Energon) packing more attitude and firepower?

what do you guys think, who's the most powerful Prime in the Unicron Trilogy?

I have yet to see Super Link or Enregon,
but the fact that Optimus combines with Omega Supreme
might make him the most powerful of the three.

Does it matter? The combining is always used as a device for victory. Normal mode is not powerful enough. Supermode is. Bad guy changes his paint job and is suddenly more powerful. Introduce new guys for Prime to link up with. Same story for all three shows.

Out of the three I personally always had a soft spot for Armada Prime.

He was a bad ass and ditched the Matrix to fight Galvatron inside Unicron at the end.

That just spells bad ass to me

Specifically to your question...

Megatron is crazy powerful in Cybertron. The Unicron armor makes him pretty much unbeatable for a time.

sheesh, no wonder...i think he's got the weirdest alt mode ever for a Megatron (batmobile) and he's got no arm cannon, but he still manages to lay the smack down on a Super-mode OP, with guns and all.

but still, looking at the episodes i've watched so far, even Cybertron Starscream gets to whup OP sometimes...that's just crazy!

Cybertron Starscream defeats the entire Autobot squad at one point via simple willpower.

He's tough.

heh, i guess the Autobots are so underrated in Cybertron. i still have watch a few more eppys (if my schedule allows it) to see more development. but so far, Cybertron OP (& the rest of the crew) is meh. i wonder when's the part that he really can pwnz0r Megs/Galvatron.

It's lame. The Japanese like to treat the Autobots like pansies.

And then the kids have to use the power of friendship or some garbage to help, eh?

Man it's gonna be nice to see Animated, the more I think about it.

argh, the only thing lamer in Cybertron was that the Autobots were like 6-7 solid bots including Prime, while the Decepticons were really actually Starscream, Thundercracker and Megatron (more of you count those 2 speed planet bobos) in the first few eppys, but the cons usually kick their arses mosttimes!

Compare Cybertron Prime to Armada Prime, who was able to show his dominance over Megatron, Starscream, Demolishor and Cyclonus in the first episode alone.

sheesh, is there something terribly wrong with Cybertron OP or the action does not heat up until the middle of the series?

I haven't really seen much of Cybertorn, but I think it's better that way round, to be honest. What kind of enemy is Megatron if he gets his arse kicked on a weekly basis? That's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to the new Animated series - by the looks of it, the Decepticons aren't going to be showing up in every ep, but when they do, it'll be much more of an event. I imagine Megatron will probably only start rearing his head (as a physical opponent at least) toward the end of the first series, to hit home what a big bad he really is.

It's also the big reason I really liked Beast Machines - when a small band of rebels takes on the rest of the world and wins, it means something. If an enormous Autobot force whupped a couple of near-harmless Decepticons, it'd just look like bullying.

no, try watching episodes 1-16 (i think that's where i left it, i watch cartoon shows chronologically) of Cybertron; see how uber-powerful Megatron is even without the arm cannon.

even Cybertron OP, with his badarse Supermode (with all the guns) can't even scratch Megatron within the first 16 episodes.

LOL, finally.

i just watched eppy 17 of Cybertron, and woo - after 16 painful episodes of squirming every time OP gets pwned by Megatron - Prime FINALLY manages to kick Megatron's arse. and this time with real ownage too. w00t!

too bad it had to take Leo Breaker combined to his supermode to do it. seriously: with all his firepower, can't Cyb OP manage things on his own? :P
