Alternator Cartoon

I think once transformers animated has run its course, they should push out an alternators cartoon, the toys are out there, and I don't think they have fully exposed the sales potential of the best transformer toys that they develop.
The transformers retain a more technical yet classic look for the cartoon, the toys would be a big hit if you ask me. Also it could be interesting to see what kind of story they could devise for an alternate transformers universe.
What are your thoughts?

Since Alt. was a sequel to G1 toys, it would have been cool to see a cartoon set between G1 and BW, however, since the line is now dead, I doubt very much hasbro woudl want to push it into a series or comic book.

Damn would of been nice to see a cartoon based on those figures, probably the best toys done after the master pieces imo.
Oh well

No, they should make straight to DVD movies based on the IDW universe with quality animation and when I mean quality not this current American amine stuff or the inconsistent Marvel movies and they should be geared toward an audience over 11.

It would be fantastic if it was a CG animated show by Mainframe Entertainment (people who've done Beast Wars, Beast Machines, ReBoot, Shadow Raiders, etc.,)

You realize ot's mean getting competing companies to work together, right? Plus copyrights and such, too much mess to bother with it.

Oh of course, Masterpiece Starscream would sell in dollar stores before this would be made, but it's fun to think about. Also, its a dead toy line

If done with good writing behind it, it would be another BW type runaway success.
It will never be made, but it's a nice idea to think about.

Nice idea, but way too late, IMO. The line's pretty much dead now, especially since the movie line has probably taken care of any foreseeable desire Hasbro has to make toys based on actual vehicles. Plus an Alternators cartoon would only be able to satisfy collectors and hardcore twentysomething TF fans, and the level of technological sophistication it would require to make the show look good for television would still be blown clean out of the ball park by the movie, IMO.
I'd rather see a Classics or War Within-type series or DTV by Mainframe, to be perfectly honest. Heck, they could just re-cast the existing 6" Titaniums (as well as the unproduced ones) in metallic-colored/"battle-damaged"-painted plastic, replace Titanium Jetfire with a "battle-damaged" Classics/Stormbringer Jetfire, shove'em all in new packaging, and that'd probably provide at least two or three waves right there.
