Website <a href="http://www.comicsinfinity.com" target="_blank">comicsinfinity.com</a> have updated their pre-order page with the first two issues of the Trasnformers Animated Trade Paperbacks.

This <a href="http://www.comicsinfinity.com/p-10301-preorder-transformers-animated-vol-1-tp.aspx" target="_blank">First Volume</a> contains the entire 70-minute kick-off adventure, while the <a href="http://www.comicsinfinity.com/p-10302-preorder-transformers-animated-vol-2-tp.aspx" target="_blank">Second Volume</a> contains 2 later episodes. Both Volumes are of the "Cinemanga" style.

The Second Volume has also posted a better image of Earth Mode Megatron:

Anybody else REALLY happy about the very obvious G1 Megs influence of this design?

Its about bloody time Megatron's G1 incarnation got a bit more love in a main line, especilly concidering the very hit and miss nature of the charecter in recent serieses.

That is sweet dude. I now have a reason to watch this god forsaken show. I need to see his alt mode. maybe we'll get lucky and Megatron will look this good in the next movie and the shows to come.

Animated Megs is reminding me of the would be Super and Ultra Megatron of BattleStars.

Animated is real hit and mostly miss with me. But this most likely coinsidential homage is welcome here. however it must be prepaired to be retooled.

Yup, this is the most G1 Megatron has been... since... well, G1.

Looks cool! Still liking the animated stuff, looks promising!

I thought so too, but the pics you posted are now making me think that the Hovercraft thingy we have seen is Cybertronian Megatron, the Head, hands and arms are all wrong, and we know that this line is fairly show accurate...

I'm probably wrong though, and the head and whatnot are just prototype issues.

does anybody else out there think that megs ISNT going to transform into anything? I will bet my bottom $$ that he DOES transform into something.

I want the animation to work as since it first appeared the amount of griping was almost unprededented:they wont transform, how can that possibly transform into a car, the animation IS bad (before anybody saw a clip), they will be bendy rubber toys. just some of the nonsense spouted (ok, re the animation, thats subjective) but the toys are not rubber bendy things and they do transform, hmm, maybe megs is going to be a rubber, non Transforming toy, yeah right.

This is the best Megatron that I saw ever since G1 Megatron and movie Megatron.
I saw in a page that this Megaton transform in a blaster, It´s true or will to transform in a plane as his cybertron mode?

great looking picture if it wasnt those things on his back you swear megatron turns into a gun again really liking the gun barrol still not that crazy about the figures though until i read review about them im holding off on them for now.

Agreed. OP looks anorexic. Total opposite to what we got from Fatty OP from Energon.

Yes that is indeed the Prototype for the pre-earth design, the erth mode is soposed to be a gun/blaster.

Man I'm liking this more and more, I really love that design! :grin:

I have my issues with the new designs of the Transformers, but I DO love them way MORE than I would ever love the designs of the (live) movie (with some exceptional examples like Jazz, Brawl and of course, Mr. Blackout!). :grin:

Regarding this new design, I do love the approach not only because its G1-alike but also because it looks BETTER than (live) Megatron. He manages to look fearsome without looking like an Alien abort! :-x
