Can G1 Comic PM Prime be considered a clone?

by Deadpool.
From what I gather, in the G1 comics, Powermaster Prime was just a duplicate of Optimus' personality downloaded into a new body, whereas the original body was sent to space.
So does that make PM Prime a clone?
If the original body was dead, that means that Optimus' spark was already in the Matrix. Which means that PM Prime is merely just a physical copy which thinks that he's the original one. (Sort of like how Ben Reily and Peter Parker both thought that they were the original ones).
Thoughts?

G1 comic didn't have sparks.
Beast Wars may have stated that G1 bots did have sparks, however that didn't apply when the comic was written.
You can't apply modern day mythology to the past like that.

Seconded. Beast Wars invented Sparks, it was a retcon (is that the correct term?). While in Beast Wars you can say their ansestors (the G1 bots) had sparks, in G1 you can't say they had sparks.

I dont think that the word "Clone" can aply to this situation.
First his body can not be concidered a clone....the new body for Prime was of a different design the his original body.It had the added feature of his Robot form [witch was designed different] being able to combine with his trailer to form a larger body.
No as for his mind, personality or spark [what ever you want to call it] I'm not really sure what you can call the prosses. What that kid did has always left me with a few questions.
Did he download Primes personality into the disk???Because then its not a clone or a copy.
Did he move move the file's or transfer them???? Because again then its not a clone.
Did he copy all the files and then plased them on the disk???Because then it might be considered a clone.
But again it might not from what I remember of my science class a duplicate of a raido or electric signal is exactly the same as the original.....and a clone...even those in comics [since you used Ben Reily and Peter Parker as an exsample] arent exactly the same as the original DNA doner. There is always the matter of a genetic drift with clones.
I dont think that there is a electric signal with copyed files from a computer. But I'm no expert on computers
