So, we are drawing closer to the start of the new series, and the movie hype has mostly ended, so I beleive we should take time to reflect on the previous series. So, without further interruption, let us know your final opinions on Galaxy Force/ Cybertron.

Really liked the New Decepitcon army, and how they ended up on Mars.
I hate how they called AEC the Unicron Trilogy, when really only a couple characters continued on from each series. And one of them, unfortunately, had to be that annoying one called Hot Shot. And c'mon.. Jetfire has an Aussie accent, and there's no damn Red Alert.

At least hot shot had cool alts. and figs. (minus Armada)Seriously, an Aston Martin and a Chrysler ME-12.
But, I had no taste for the writing we got in america. Especiually Overrides sex change.
Barricade, you're one to talk.
Yours is a huge advertisement for Saleen....which is a good thing.

I gotta say, Galaxy force was fairly good for what I've seen of it. Yet it was handled very poorly here in the states.
First off, I didn't like a lot of the changes they made in the US version such as.
-Having a different accent for many characters, I wouldn't of minded this if it were for one or 2 characters. But gees, more than half the cast had some form of odd accent, it got really annoying after awhile. And it just seemed like a pointless move as well.
-Replacing a bunch of good music with that god awful theme everytime. It just ruined the epicness of most scenes such when Prime is going into super mode.
-not airing the first episode, and splice the said episode with the second to form a clip show of sorts, what the hell was up with this?
Second, Putting it on CN just ruined it. the show kept on getting shifted to many times, first it's on saturdays for a while, then it goes to 6:00 in the morning, goes to a better time on WB, goes back to CN, then goes back to it's 6:00 in the morning slot AGAIN. Why the hell does Hasbro trust the series with CN? WB for the time it had it, handled it much better than CN did for even Energon and Armada.
Before the series aired, I had high expectations and said to myself how can this great show be **** up?
Why did I have to be wrong?

eh? Red Alert was there from the start right? plus he got upgraded into the uber-cool Cybertron Defense Red Alert.

anyways, this series is so-so, really cool robots but basically a kid-friendly story. oh yeah, that darn music too.
"The Autobots wage their battle...to DES-TROOOOY the evil forces of the Decepticons!" word, that opening music was word.
the animation is top-notch (of course this has to be expected from the hot artists at GONZO) but i have to admit the transforming animations get repetitive quickly.
but i really liked the episode in which Vector Prime sacrificed himself. i dunno, watching that episode reminded me a lot of Code of Hero, plus the way he died was astounding too. i can't believe it but the annoying kids kinda touched my heart there for a second LOL.

best character? STARSCREAM. oh yeah. the most powerful
Starscream ever. too bad his fate was kinda foggy at the end, we never really saw what happened to him.

Barring the cringeworthy opening intro song (which deserves to sit alongside the 4Kids One Piece and DBGT opening intro's as the worst of the 21st century) Cybertron was easily the best series of the A/E/C run.
Hell it was a great standalone series (for that is what it is), sure it had "gotta catch them all elements" in it, but it also had smaller multi-episode arcs in larger overall story arcs as well. The pacing was a little off (so much time on Velocitron, so little given to Giant Starscream on Earth), but not in a way that really degraded the series.
Plenty of G1 nods, not only in names but also in character, Starscream was back to his old G1 self, but this time he was far more competent. It was also nice to see a Megatron/Galvatron that was far far more powerful than Prime (without the aid of Unicron), and it was also nice to to have the giant threat being Unicron (although in Cybertron it was Unicorn's demise that was the cause of the Black hole).
On top of that you had a transforming Cybertron/Primus and a very wide selection of bots and cons, both animal and vehicle.
The toyline is the best since Beast Wars, not much else needs to be said about how good the toyline was.
Overall it is easily the best series of the "trilogy" and deserves to stand alongside G1 and the Beast Era proudly.

I liked it a lot. I think the Japanese translation was more hardcore than the US (besides Cartoon network dropping the ball}. Is it out on DVD yet?

I believe the first 4 episodes got a release on a single DVD. That was back in June 2006.
Nothing to mention since.

If you mean single as in the ones with the toys, then yeah, that's all.
Unless you record them yourself...which can't be hard with the re-runs.
I dunno, how many of us would buy the DVDs when there's YouTube?

You got me there. I was thinking of Energon. Energon never had the Red Alert.

Knowing Hasbro, he was in Medical School.

Armada was okay except for the paralells with pokemon due to the minicon obsession everybody had then.
Energon, meh, it was okay except for the Sentai Mech looking OP. Towards the end it was just silly though, especially the Unicron-sized OP and Galvatron.
Cybertron was RUBBISH! It was supposed to fit in with Armada and Energon, but there were so many continuity problems with Cybertron. The Autobots were made too weak, and OP looked like a total wussy, a pebble can take more punishment from Galvatron than Prime could.
All-in-all, Prime was the TF who got screwed over most in these three series due to either stupid bodies, weird colour schemes, or bad writing.
On a side-note, having Override as female didn't bother me much, sure, didn't look too feminine, but not exactly masculine ither. Besides, we don't have many female TFs and it was interesting to see some new ones in Cybertron.

I only saw a few episodes of cybertron before I watched Galaxy Force(because of the weird time slot).
But after I watched Galaxy Force I liked the series a lot.
The fact that galaxy force isn't directly a sequel to energon was pretty cool, and I love the animation models.
The story was a little mediocre, but at least galaxy force didn't have the crappy voices it's English counterpart had.
