It has just come to my attention that IGN.com has posted a review of the Transformers Animated premiere "Transform and Roll out", along with character promo art which seems to include a previously-unseen shot of Megatron.
You can have a look here:

One of the problems I have with this show is the cliche nature of the character archetypes.
They are the same tired one seen throught over 30 years of animation.
1. Young, inexperienced, idealistic leader
2. Big dumb fat guy
3. Scrappy, annoying, little and/or smart guy
4. Grizzled, hardened, old mentor
5. Bad boy/loner cool guy
Now is this Transformers or G-Force? Or Voltron? Or Thundercats?
All Transformers Animated is missing is the pretty girl who tries to prove herself among the boys and provides a quasi-love interest to the young leader.
But I guess they are waiting for season 2 for that.

That group stereotype
applies to non-animated shows as well.

There's nothing new under the sun, after all.
