The title pretty much sums up the question I'm asking. is the US version of headmaster good or great to watch or is it a steaming pile of slag.

It is a real crappy english dub, the names are way off and everything.

However if you don't like subtitles, and would rather get the jist of whats going on in english as apose to learning japanesse, I say go for it.

Alot of people are gonna tell you watching it in the origional japanesse is the best way to go, but if you don't speak japanesse, and multitask while the TVs on so you realy can't spend time reading your shows, a crappy dub is better than no dub at all.

Either watch the subbed version, or the fan dubb from someone, but I forget who. They have done the other japanese shows as well as BW2 and BW neo. Someone could tell you who they are.

As mentioned before, the English dubbed is way off. However, the episodes are still entertaining. It is your choice if you want this version or try to find the Japanese version.

I know I sound like a broken record because I just posted this is another thread, but when it comes to the Takara TF series, the subtitled versions are the way to go. I like hearing the original Japanese voice actors and I have no problem focusing solely on the program I watch in order to read the subtitles. Some of the Japanese voice actors in Headmasters and Masterforce rival the American G1 cast, very worth checking out. And with the dub there are all sorts of problems in translations so you never really get the correct dialogue and story. I have watched both the dubbed and subtitled Takara series and I simply must reiterate that if all you know is the dubbed version, then you have not actually seen the series.
