The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:

A downright pretty take on what things must be like (or have been like) for those on the Ark who didn't wake up to fight the war, I suppose.

You just don't like the Autobots. ;)

I love this one... the pretty art and the elegantly concise writing. It rather neatly explains the presence of all the new characters in Season 2 (with an adorable "group shot" of all the Autobots), as well as some of Prime's thoughts on heading to Earth (and that's a lovely headshot of him, as well).

And the combination of the "industrial beauty" skyscraper, Tracks' face, and the parallel of "If we stay, we go blind [in the darkness]."/"Don't forget to blink." gives the feeling that even Cybertronians can experience wonder at seeing a new planet and finding a new light of life to bask in... and that light of life can be as blinding as the dark if you're not careful.

Ahh, good stuff. :)

Naw...Not the reason I didn't like this one....I read it a couple times, trying to truly understand it, and I failed...It made no sense whatsoever to me...The art was decent, but I have seen better (the pic of Prime is good, but the art with all the Autobots was a bit primary and kindegarteny to me)....I don't HATE this one, mind you, it just isn't to my liking.

Well... many of the Mosaics lately have been too wordy for me. They've got great concepts, but it gets buried under too much exposition. They would read just fine in normal prose but are just a bit too verbose for comics and don't let the art carry enough of its own weight.

I prefer Mosaics like this... the writing is just enough to suggest the story's concept without beating you over the head with it. (And I'm envious of people who can draw *and* write. I can barely write, and you can forget about drawing.)

And my weird tastes in art rise their head again. :( The realistic art in this piece is very nice and I think it was necessary (Tracks' face and the skyscraper, particularly). But... I find deep down the panel you hate is the one I love the most, because it feels the most like it has the artist's *character* in it. It's bright, stylistic, and unique while still being accurate to the designs.

"Realistic art" *is* pretty, but it always feels sterile and generic to me. I prefer idiosyncratic/quirky styles. Unfortunately, everyone else seems to prefer the realistic stuff. :/

I am an artist myself. It took forever for me to make it through art school because I LOATHE MODERN ART! If I see a painting that is called "Paris By Night" I want to see PARIS AT NIGHT....not black and yellow shapes all over a canvas! To me, that is not art...that is finger-painting! I get that same "black and yellow shapes on canvas" feel here.....*shrugs*

Ah well, can't win all the time, although Mosaic does crank out more great work than not-so-great!

You're not alone in disliking Modern Art, I can assure you.

But for me I get the feeling of... well, I think back to the times I've been driving at night. When it's too dark to see any actual walls, but you can still see all the buildings in a city delineated in points of light instead - lit windows, cell tower warning beacons, floods, streetlamps, etc. - almost as if the city had been flipped into being outlined in constellations.

I know the environmentalist whine about that sort of thing, but I have to admit I find it kind of pretty... and I'd think robots who hail from a planet-wide metal city would feel the same way.

Very cutesy art.

It's a nice change to have a lighter Mosaic after so many dark ones.

My husband is just like that. He wants art to be exactly like how it's supposed to. All of our art in our house is of Middle Ages kings and princesses and they look just like people. Absolutely beautiful. I'm kind of like you too. I want my Transformers to look technical, like they really are mechanical beings. That is why I prefer Su's art to an artist like Roache. Now that said, it is nice to see art that has a lot of expression, that isn't just technically correct. So while I prefer technical, I appreciate expressive. Or something.

Maybe Im biased to anything Autobot based and definately G1 based, but I liked ti. The cartoonish are really appeals to me with the traditional bright colors that I remember as a kid.

Story is a little weak but a different take on the way things are viewed. Cybertron had no Sun, so it makes sense.

7 outta 10. Good work.
