Hey, is there a series of comics or something that may tie up a few loose ends from between the end of g1 season 2 and the movie?? its always bugged me since i was a kid that all these new transformers and 2 moons appear from nowhere. Ive never kept up with the comics and was wondering if there were some answers in there

I believe that's what Scramble City is all about.
Check YouTube for it, it's a japanese stopframe/animated thing, I think. I never watched it.
As for the American side of things, I don't think there are any media that deal with it. Though if there's any, it'll most likely be in comic form. I'm sure someone else can fill you in about that though.

Yeah, there is a fandub of Scramble City on YouTube... it's sort of weirdly entertaining.
Part 1:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=LrKDX7GGyI8The character voices are OK as far as amateur voice acting goes (the narrator not so much)... although Silverbolt inexplicably has a British accent.

But, no official US media regarding the matter, AFAIK. The 20 in-continuity years between Season 2 and Season 3 are pretty much wide open.

That WAS oddly entertaining
Looks like it went unfinished. And they musta retconed it a bit to explain how Trypticon was there AND was built in Season 3..

Various Japanese stories, series and toylines produced in the last couple of years have steadily been filling in this gap. A lot of it's not really compatible with the American animated continuity, but nonetheless, you can read about what we do know here:

I'm one of the local comic zombies around here, and no, those 20 year gap stories have never appeared in comic format. This was mainly due to the fact that the comics have always had different stories and most characters were depicted differently (Grimlock for instance isn't stupid in the comics).
Your best bet would be to read the Dreamwave G1 comics since those were aimed at the G1 cartoon fans (while sidestepping the old comic fans).

Simon Furman penned a comic for the Madman release of a complete G1 boxset that was set between the end of Season 2 and the Movie, but it did not reveal much.

The topic title gives me the impression that Waylander III thinks that the episode B.O.T. is better than the Movie.

Haha! I'm glad I'm not the only one who had that thought.

No retcon was needed. They just re-wrote the episode of season 3 where Trypticon first apperaes a bit.
Instead of him being built it was him being repaired.
