Sad news has passed our news room today. Steve Gerber passed away this past sunday, Februari 10th at the age of 60, after a long battle with chronic lung disease (pulmonary fibrosis).
Born Stephen Ross Gerber on September 20th 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Gerber served as writer and/or story editor for various comicbooks and TV cartoon series during the 70's and 80's. As story editor, he worked also on the original Transformers and G.I. Joe cartoon series. But he'll be best remembered as being the spiritual father of the Howard the Duck Comicbook series.
Ironically six years ago on Februari 10th 2002, George Singer, one of the producers of the same original Transformers series also passed away.

Well... At least they do know how to write the word 'Peace'.
I was actually working on my Transformers check-list earlier and was still stuck at the S for 2006.

Thats what I hate about being a fan of something as old as Tranformers, every year we lose several of those who made Tranformers into the greatness it is today. May you peace in your own narvana Steve, You shall be missed.
