In MTMTE Pt.1 we see Shockwave had 2 hands instead of his Laser Cannon as seen in this picture
Does anyone know what happend during those 4 Million years? Were times tough on Cybertron & he had to seel it for Energon just to keep functional? Did he lose it in a game of poker with Swindle? Tell me what you seriously think happened(a little joke now and then would still be nice).

Maybe he lost it in a battle like C-Red Alert. But still, couldn't he just get a new one? Maybe he figured he needed a gun on him at all times more than he needed 2 hands. Or maybe it's retractable, like some many Autobots.

The serious and truth of it is that the Animators didnt have a complete charater model of the toy.

So let the jokes begin.

Megatron cut it off as punishment for plotting against him. Ever since then, Shockwave has been as loyal as they come.

Since he loves experimenting on other bots may be he went insanr one day when everybody left cybertron and cut off his hand ASH STYLE! and walla! Instant hand cannon!

maybe shockwave always had a retractable hand, but thought (and quite correctly) that gun arms look rad.
