O.k. now that the spotlight comics have been around for awhile I thought I would ask which of them you like the best:
For me I have to go with optimus prime simply because it showed the back story of monstructor and combiner tech in general. Also it featured omega supreme which was a bonus.

Soundwave - Very good story with a great use of the character and cover to cover Decepticons which is rare.
I was going to say Shockwave, which was good but derivative of the early G1 comics - Soundwave struck the right balance between familiarity and newness and worked as a stnad alone story and part of the bigger arc.

I'm voting for Spotlight Sixshot. I didn't know much about Sixshot before I read it, and it not only gave me insight in to his persona, but introduces us to the Reapers. Without SL: Sixshot, we'd have been as clueless as Megs and crew when they attack the Decepticon base. Since Devastation is partly "The Sixshot Show" I consider reading his spolight essential.
On a side note, I just bought gen1 Sixshot at a toyshow last weekend. I loved going through Devastation and Spotlight Sixshot, pointing at different pics as me and my husband transformed him through his alt modes last night. He's drawn so accurately to the toy. Imagine what a modern MP Sixshot would look like? How sweet would that be. He's as big as my MP Screamer now.

Spotlight Kup.
It has it's own self contained story, without any prior knowledge of any previous issues or IDW Furmanverse stories needed.
So far it hasnt really had any bearing on the main story, so while it may not be the best Spotlight in terms of advancing the Furmanverse, as a stand alone issue, it is far and away the most easily followed.
Artwork is impressive, and matches the tone and style of the writing.
If we want to talk about the best Spotlight that affects continuity with the most ramifications, I think Spotlight Galvatron has affected the Furmnaverse the most, with even more potential to come from it, with Spotlight Prime and Shockwave breathing down it's neck.

Either Optimus or Shockwave.

This is quite a tough one to answer.
For me, the one that made me care the most about what actually happened in the story is Spotlight Blaster. However, for the supporting cast, Blaster is tied with Galvatron - anything with Hound and Sideswipe in comes close to being my favourite.
On a side note - does anyone know if we'll be getting another round of Spotlights after Grimlock?

Agreed!
I am no Magnus fan, but I also enjoyed his Spotlight as well!

Shockwave, his spotlight sets up the story for the current storyline.
Additionally, the Dinobots have some really cool moments in this spotlight.

I would say that it is a tie between Shockwave and Kup. Shockwave was the perfect balance of old and new, referencing, and perfectly paced narrative and storyboard placement in the layout. Kup was entirely self-contained, extremely original, and the power of the style there is undeniably the most permeating on the overall effect of the book than anyother. Both are great for different reasons and have the same (imo) unmatched high level of execution.
However as for which would be my favorite, it's got to be Galvatron. Never have i waited so long for a comic book (wanted one on him while DW was still around, and their hints followed by disaster only made it worse

), and he was drawn by my favorite TF artist. Plus we do finally get to see him as the bad as i wish he had stayed throughout the UK stuff. But I can't argue that it's the best. It's very good, but still not mindblowing. Just satisfied the fanboy deep inside.
