An odd question, but why is it called a "manga"?

I haven't been looking at the 5 page previews, but I looked at the movie preview #3 one to see if it had any promise of being better than #2 which I was really disappointed in. Doesn't look like it.

Interesting how the movie designs come across better in comic form.

I'm still puzzled. Wouldn't the term "Mega-man" gets them into some legal issues with Capcom, the creator of Megaman/Rockman?

I could be wrong here, but I think Capcom only owns the term "Mega Man" and not "Mega-Man". I suppose the hyphen makes all the difference in the world.

Yeah, especially since every other 2D interpretation of them has sucked donkey nuts.

Probably cause Megaman is usually treated as either one word or two separate words, whereas Megs' nickname has a hyphen in it, probably for the purpose of getting around that legal trickery.

And boy howdy, could they have come up with a more contrived and hackneyed way to get the movie's tag line in the series?

I've been diggin' that movie prequel too!

They call their pocket-style trade paperbacks "manga," because it mimics the style that Japanese TPBs are released. Its all marketing.

I like the looks of this. I hope the movie focuses on a lot of this human element as well. It's interesting.

That shot of Bumblebee on the cover is so cool it gets me all moist.

You have a delightfully way of turning a phrase Leo, you really do!

Lookin' forward to the Prequel issue 3. The slow build up is fine with me considering it is a background build up story for a movie. It is laying some interesting foundations. Similar to Infiltration in my mind.

Plus Dons art really is the bollocks!

just picked it up...awesome! the last page in particular!! though the issue is full of these blue-ish streaks, as seen on the cover...dunno if its intentional or a print error.
my first post ever, by the way! love the site...i check it daily, keep up the good work, Seibertron!

At first I didn't think I'd like the movie, since I do not like the bot modes, but, having read the first two issues of the prequel, I'm really getting into the story. I'll have to pick this one up!
