Chris Ryall, the good 'ol editor and chief of IDW has updated his BLOG called 'RyallTime' with a cover, and preview page for the to be released on Wednesday 'Transformers: Focus On Decepticons'.

So, I just came back from my LCS with this. The interviews are nice, but there's nothing really new apart from the typical "You're Gonna Love This because" jive...except this time, they couldn't be more right, by the looks of things. There's a Roll Call section, listing who apparently will be some of the major players in the series:

Slight spoilers below, highlight to reveal. Nothing really major, but just in case, as I don't want to ruin anything for anyone unless they want to know:

And we are finally granted an answer to a question that has been nagging us since IDW got the license: RIRFIB.



Now, the preview itself...

Scene opens with the Constructicons transforming in the middle of a very busy intersection on a street. One passerby thinks this is amazing and wants pictures. Scrapper informs the masses that they are here on a mission of peace, cooperation and goodwill.

Then after a brief pause, and an exchanged look, he and Hook proceed to laugh their asses off, right before they all start opening fire into the crowd. Mixmaster comments on how soft the materials humans use for construction purposes is.

The Seekers arrive on the scene, and Starscream, cutting loose with some fire, revels in the fear and terror the squishies are all exhibiting. Skywarp says there'll be more once Megs arrives. SS of course says's he's the master of these things, not...

..and he is cut off, as Megatron is standing behind him, arriving earlier than expected. He calls out Starscream's supposed acts of 'destruction' by hoisting his fusion cannon, and firing it.

Last page: As an immense, glass-windowed office tower topples to the streets in the background, Megatron says that Starscream thinks too small.

All hail Megatron, folks. We don't have a choice.

The cover art is awesome, and the preview is cool, it certainly gets one to want to buy the series.

It looks like a lot of people will be happy when this project hits shelves in July (I think)...

in all hail megatron, i like how it showws how massive they are, like for example, seeing megatron from the 100th floor window. i like how megetron one ups starscreem with just one shot, and is like, "get with the program." the cunstructicons! "nuff said."

Focus on the Decepticons... Ha! As if I do anything else.

Seriously though, after having read it last night I can't wait for my dream series to get started. I'm just wondering who or what will inevitably put the spank down on my boys at the end...

On a side note, it's good to see Megatron having some fun.

Also, Skywarp really is starting to come off as a fanboy of Megs, re: All Hail preveiw and Spotlight Ramjet.

I really can't wait for this to come out. There has been a bit of poo pooing over at the idw boards because this seems to feel like it's more connected to the G1 cartoon stylistically than the main idw line. Some characters arn't their Simone Furman re-imiginations and it feels like his plot lines havn't been hardwired into the writers head, but all i have to say is pHHHHHBBBBB!

Forget about the rest of IDW for ONE minute and just see how awsome this is. Really, that was awesome. Megatron is truely awe-inspiring here, and he doesn't even come off as strategic and reserved as he did in infiltration. As long as they don't just ignore the rest of IDW's plots and give some reason for drastic changes (the F-15's for example, devastator), I mean any reason even a dumb Bullsh*t reason, i'll be completely happy. Simon and IDW have 8 as yet unnannounced issues that will be filling a #ing gap to fix up these little technicallities. All i have to say is just let this keep coming and Simon can clean up the mess later. This is gonna rock, hard. I really can't wait for this to be well under way.

Thats a damn good teaser, I was unsure about All Hail, but now I have no worries at all.
