Tvshowsondvd.com has posted an article stating that Transformers: Cyberton will be making its way into the DVD world this coming July. Below is an excerpt from the original article:
"Back in September 2005, HASBRO and distributor Paramount Home Entertainment releases Transformers: Cyberton - A New Beginning, the only DVD release to date for this 2005 Cartoon Network incarnation of this long-running Robotic franchise. Not it appears that HASBRO/Paramount are planning to bring all 50+ installments to DVD this summer, with the July 22nd release of Transformers: Cybertron - The Ultimate Collection."This is great news for fans of the Cybetron series who've been waiting for an opportunity to get this awesome series into their DVD collection.

Good news indeed

. I've seen the series, but only once through. Best animated/dubbed of the trilogy in my opinion.
But this begs the question of where is the rest of Energon.....

Energon's critical reception was rather lacking. It would have been a bad move for them to release what has been called Cartoon Network's worst broadcast show.
These are not my opinion, just facts I found on the Wikia.

I hated Cybertron. I think it was the idea of the Cyber Planet keys. I don't know why, but I found the idea of giant, armed-to-the-teeth robots shouting 'cyber key power' just to get more guns out ridiculous. And Cybertron transforming? Dear God no! That was the single worst thing I have ever seen! Just 'cause the inhabitants of it transform doesn't mean the planet does! I mean, you don't see the Earth trotting around Space and pummelling Saturn for looking at it funny.
This is one DVD I won't be getting. Like RiD.

I won't be buying the DVDs. This series much like RID, Armada and Energon were way too Pokemoneque IMHO. I have dl'ed the JPN eps with subs for all the aforementioned series but that is as far as I will go. Others might like the domestic release. So be it.
TF Animated is a refreshing change and it has a lot of G1 references in it which I love.

I've already got all of Galaxy Force subtitled and I enjoy it far more than the haphazard crap job which was Cybertron.

Not gonna guy. The entire Unicron trilogy turned me off almost entirely from Transformers, it was till the hype for the 2007 movie that rebooted it all for me and thankfully the movie didn't turn me off either. I tell you this, I would much rather watch RID than the Unicron trilogy, wish that was the one being released on DVD. Alright, alright, the Unicron trilogy had some it's moments but no way will I buy it on DVD, including Cybertron.

I could only watch this series in its original format, being in Japanese and Uncut. I would not consider seeing it in English nor buy it if those features are not included.

I'm currently watching Galaxy Force on Youtube. I haven't found a reliable source yet for all eppys of Cybertron. I prefer Galaxy Force, but I think my husband would rather have Cybertron.
Good to know a box set will be coming out. Might pick it up later on for ease of watching. It does get confusing though, where the names and somtimes genders are switched around between the two.

No Japanese dub with subtitles and no original soundtrack…
If this were Galaxy force I’d fly to it in a heart beat, but being edited I’ll pass.
Sigh, why cant they release this series or any part of AEC and RID in their original, uncut form?

Very nice, now if they'd do RID and Energon, I'd have all the US series on DVD(except that Go-Bot side line).
If someone would hook up BW 2&Neo, then I'm all good!
I'm not counting Animated cause it's still airing, but if I saw that and the Go-Bot show in a box set, I'd pick them up.
I'd realy like RID and Energon to arrive though.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Out of all my TF DVD series though, I have to say I like Armada the best. I got the big plastic case import version for a penny, from a seller who was running a free shipping weekend
I was suprized that the deal was honored!

Eh, so I broke down and bought RID off Amazon UK. Even with the conversion rate, it was still under $50

Cybertron still is my favorite of the UT. I never bought the DVD since it had the same 5 or 6 episodes that I've seen 20 times. It's going to be nice to see it all again at once.

I really liked Cybertron and can't wait to get my hands on a complete series DVD! Cybertron had a little of everything for everyone. From young children with a taste for todays style animation to the old school G1 and Beast Wars fans. Really enjoyable series!
