Do you guys Remember this Cartoon? I forgot all about it till I found it on Youtube and its funny to me because I have vague-fuzzy memories of it. I do Remember that theme music but somehow blocked it out of my memory all these years.
And its The whole G1 Cast with almost the same Music and Sound effects and all!
I kinda want to own it?

If you live in England or the UK, WHS has a DVD of it.
I don't remember seeing the show, but watching that clip kinda tells me that this must be familiar to me.

What a dumb show. They can't transform unless they have a human piloting them? They all came with cockpits. They could not figure this out before? What's to prevent them from waking up some of their buddies to pilot them?

That female quad bot and the kid are totally Arcee and Daniel. The consoles loook like they have 10 numbers on them. If each signifies a transformation, the toys might be cool.

I know right! I dont remember watching this show but I know I remember it.
Here is some more info I found on ROBOTIX.
Apparently it came on Sundays with Inhumanoids, Bigfoot and Jem and Holograms as a part of what was called Super Sunday. I think I remember those Super Sunday's too.LOL!

Was Jem Hasbro's attempt at girl's dolls?

Yes, Jem and the Holograms were the girl rock band version of Barbie, and were nemesised by the insideous Misfits, who claimed to be so much better than Jem and the Holograms.

As for Robotix, I share in the vague memories department, but I seem to remember vividly where they stole one guys essence or life force or life essence energy force or something and I cried. Cried like a very little girl. Strange, since at the time I was a little boy. But, I remember Jem and the Holograms as well. I have vivid memories though of being a little boy, which is probably indirectly responsible for my now being a grown up man.

Actually I think that they couldn't do that because the enviorment wasn't habitable for them anymore....which is why they were transfered into the Robotix.

I don't think I've ever caught the cartoon, but I remember having one of the toys. Technically could have been one of my first kitbashes. I glued parts to a couple of toy cars to make them like combat vehicles.

This is a fine example of all the things I'm almost happy I forgot!

I remember seeing this that even I wouldn't watch this, and I watched everything aimated back in the day!

Hell if it wasn't for my brothers whiping my gut with their belts for doing so, I'd probably know every episode of the CareBears.

However in the past week I've been feeding my 80's cheese urges. As I write this I'm watching VOL 1 of the Jayce and The Wheeled Warriors box set(Lightning Strikes like a MoFo) I also have had deliveries of both the Car and Lion Voltron complete, and GIJoe.

So as a larf since I'm in the mood, I may show this series some love, with the difference being, Wheeled Warriors, Voltron, GIJoe, Transformers RID(added cause I ordered it), I actualy have real distinct fond memories of those series.

Still, I love 80s cheese, and on that not I'm getting ready to place an order for the complete M.A.S.K. series, He-Man, GundamSD(I have most of the others), COPS, Inhumanoids, and Centurions are all on my soon to buy list.

I'd love to have the figs for all these series, but in the end, who did have everything? In the end, didn't we realy enjoy them most through the shows!?!

Robotix really wasn't that bad, I got it an transformers the movie 2 for £5 back when they hadn't released the 20th Anniversary / Reconstructed editions... Admittedly it doesn't have the depth / special something to make it a cult favorite like Transformers did, but it was written around the same time as Season 2 (to quash the Daniel / Arcee Claims...) and it shared a lot of the G1 voice actors.

As far as Band Shows go, Jem is beaten out by Metalocalypse.

I don't even LIKE Death Metal, and it's still awesome.

oddly enough, i'm came across the Robotix on youtube, a few weeks ago, and decided to watch it through.
as someone who was born in the 80's and watch as near damn every cartoon done back then (ie. M.A.S.K., Centurions, Galaxy Rangers, Battle of the Planets, Thundercats, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, He-man, Transfomers[of course], Bravestarr) i've got to admit this aint particulaly great!

Yeah I know its not great but what I find interesting is hearing Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, Corey Burton and others playing all the voices.
You can hear Ironhide and Optimus prime and various others all switched around with the same sound effects and similar if not exact same music. Peter Cullen plays the Evil Leader I think and vice versa for Frank Welker.
its just funny to me cuz I dont think I caught it back then but I totally notice now.
Its Crazy! So Crazy I think I want a Copy. 8-}

I felt the same way about wanting a copy earlier, and the voice thing, I love revisiting old shows and going "Hey, that's... "

Still after seeing all the parts on YouTube(take that Papal Mass), I cab say, I have had my fix.

Wouldn't mind investing in some building sets though as I do like those old robot toys that actualy let you build a robot :D

I've seen a bit of Robotix on Youtube so far and it's not bad. It's better than a lot of stuff we have today.

YEah the Story and characters are questionable but the animation is pretty good. Better than some of the other G1 Episodes at that time. Almost resembles the animation quality of "Dweller in the Depths","Fight or Flee" and maybe "Call of the Primtives"
