New Information About a New Transformers Cartoon

Every once in awhile now we have heard little bits of information regarding a new Transformers cartoon. Some of the pieces of information have been rumors that have not yet been confirmed. Now our own Shinobi Rendar has informed us about some new information. The Defiant of Don Murphy's Message Board posted the following information:
"Okay, so my boss is subscribed to a million and one magazines here in our work at the BBC. One magazine is called "Broadcast" and it has a very interesting front cover... but no details inside.
Basically we have a very TOONAMI-ISH logo (Think Sonic-X, for better or worse...) of a red/blue Transformers logo that says "Transformers Animated." The subtitle reads "More Than Meets The Eye" and says "New Series Coming 2008. 26 x 30 minute Episodes PLUS a 90 minute special."
That's your lot. It doesn't mention "Heroes" or anything but I suspect that it could tie in with the movie due to it being advertised inside this industry magazine... Makes me think it is coming out of budgets/revenue tied into the film and the profile rasising of Transformers that it will inevitably bring about."
The Defiant promises that pictures from the magzine will be posted. You can read the original post by clicking here.
Update:
An images from the issue of Broadcast Magazine that shows the Transformers Animated logo has made it onto the internet. The image has been posted Siabstudios.co.uk. Click here to check it out.

I hope it's based around the new movie.

No matter what it is based on, I'm happy to see a new show is in the works.

Wow, that is very Toonish. Oh well, bring it on, I'm sure it will be great.

Why do I get the feeling this is going to suck more than A/E/C and be exceptionally juvenile?

They really need to make a more mature series. Without humans too much like Beast Wars. It kept humor but was mostly serious. These new series havent lived up to it yet. I hate the entire Pokemon like relationship the Transformers and the Humans have in the new series.

I agree wholeheartedly with the both of you. I WANT a more mature show (at least as mature and dark as Beast Wars) and I WANT the humans to play a far smaller role than they ever did in Armada, Energon or Cybertron. But we'll have to wait and see.

Looking at the logo though it seems similar in animation style to the likes of Warner Bros. cartoons (Batman, Teen Titans etc) and while I don't so much hate that style, I certaintly don't want to see TF's done that way because they'd come across looking not only out of proportion but far too fluidic. They need to look mechanical and I can't see that look being achieved IF it were done that style.
Plus you just know the storyline is going to be more about team work moreso than A/E/C combined.
Yes, I highly suspect this show will me aimed at pre to early teens.
And as much as i'd love to see a mature storyline like BW/BM, I wouldn't completely object to the involvement of humans provided they're not made into annoying dumbarses.

Looks.... meh. I hope it's a work in progress. Plus, I hope to god that they don't go with "animated" for the new series title (I doubt they will).

I doubt it is linked with the live film since it stated it will be out in 2008 (way too far from the film debut) and that logo doesn't have hundreds of spikes and edges on it.

The logo... I sense a disturbance in the Matrix. As if thousands of fans cried out and were suddenly pissed off because Hasbro keeps peddeling to the Pokecrap, Yo-Gay-Ho and the like crowd.

Because the logo sucks and is exceptionally juvenile?
I'm really hoping that was a bored graphics artist intern's work that "Broadcast" magazine's editor said was "good enough". Look at any ad or any logo on this page. With the exception of the odd Star Wars logo I see popping up in the Robot Kingdom ad, every single entity here has a) less money and b) a better logo than this chaff.
I'd rather they went with a bitmapped Courier or something, fer the love of soup. Just wow.

If this is based upon Transformers Live Action Movie (and it is) I will officially hate Transformers for life. I think the fans who make fun of haters of the movie who go "they raped my childhood" are plain retarded. I hate the movie because people say "it's not G1" but you have G1 elements like Peter Cullen and in the prequel comic you have a broken golden disc so "booyah" there goes your theory about "it's entirely new". Say what you want to say to me because as of now, I quit being a part of a fandom since Hasbro, Michael Bay, Takara Tomy make what was an incredible toyline fail at life period.

Having G1 elements doesn't make it G1. Every Non-G1 Transformers series have had G1 elements, so I guess there goes you're whole theory. Just face it, it's a new continuity that borrows elements from several Transformer sources, not just G1.

Then why are you here?
Oh well. At least there will be more for the rest of us!
However, I do hope that they eventually drop the whole "Optimus Prime, Transform!" and take thirty seconds of stock transformation footage to make up for terrible story telling routine.

Yawn yawn yawn.
You know, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Armada, Energon and Cybertron all had elements of G1.
Anyway, thanks for the entertaining post. It's people like you that give the anti-movie folk a bad name because your rants are so childishly entertaining. But alas, you're gone and won't see this post wah wah wah.
So ... it wouldn't suprise me if this little series is set in the movie universe. 2008 isn't that far away when you factor in release date, how long the toys are in store followed by the dvd release. By the time that hype nearly dies down this series could easily begin.

My god, please don't let Transformers go down the toilet...
2008's a good time for a new show. Gives me ages to finish back-collecting, and still have money for thing like games and booze, and that new amp I've been eyeing up every time I go into Kidderminster.

Well, as long as the toys are good I can wait out another mediocre show.

Yeah, from the logo alone, I fear something 'hip' 'in the now' involving teenage robots and skateboards.
