I really like the cover. It has a very smooth design that allows you to focus in on the picture, and the picture itself is +10 to coolness (D&D inside joke, sorry).

Very nice, though I question the logic of releasing TF:TM when there are at least three versions on UK shelves already, in a range of prices and feature sets to suit every pocket. The basic version is currently in Woolies for £2.

2007 movie texture over the original Movie logo. Interesting.
I find the picture is nice, but sort of dull. I really enjoy the whole 'cast firing at Unicron' thing.

Animated. Btw, Hotrod, the link for the website leads to the picture, not the website itself.

Yeah, they're releasing the DVD edition of a movie that has not hit theatres yet and are putting a character from 20 years ago on the box art. True story.

I can see why they've chosen a 'live-action-movie-type logo' but I wish they hadn't done it. For that matter, I don't know why Dreamworks felt that Transformers being a movie deserved a typical 'movie-of-a-franchise' steel/metallic/silver version of the logo.

I don't really like this cover. I much prefer the Don Figueroa cover for Sony's Region 1 release. I hope the features are good! I don't find the artwork here very interesting.

its a really nice picture all on its own, but it doesnt seem to gel as an animated movie cover...they should have either used promotional art or if they wanted to create new art, have it at least reflect the movie in some way....and i'm anal about this but they shoulda kept the original font, or even do like rhino did and use the actual font that was colored yellowish/golden for the original poster

That's a pretty bad cover imo. The title/logo looks off (especially with that giant O in the middle of mOvie. Yeah, I know the original had it, but it's just distracting now.

As for the art, that picture of Prime was never one of the best. As much as I like Andy Wildman, I honestly think they could've commissioned a new picture instead of getting a 2+ year old image and re-colouring/texturing it (link to original image http://www.transformersdvd.com/ ).

And the lense flair, don't get me started on that!

Overall, very unimpressive. C-

Not to mention it has nothing to do with the movie. When was Prime jumping around in outer space? Oh wait, never, because he died 1/3 of the way into the movie. I wouldn't even give it a C-. Not quite "F" worthy. Maybe a good, solid "D".

Looks very fan-art, not good at all.

I actually dont like that... it looks fan made and is overly blurry... the concept is fine but i feel it needs to be more polished.

Is this a UK exclusive? If not, what makes this DVD any better than the 20th Anniversary DVD with that moving / shifting cover?

Meh.

Their trying too hard to make it look like the live action movie.

They could have done better. :/

Nevermind, still gonna get it though.

It's unfortunate they chose that character as the cover. Oh well.
