They should make a TF cartoon based on the Tf Universe toyline. I was thinking how cool it would be if they did because that is the best toyline ATM i believe. Being a big fan of the origianl G1 series. I think a modern version of TF's with a some homage to the origianl TF's would be awesome. The Clssics/Universe toylines are really cool I reckon. With good animation I reckon to see Unveres charatoers on tv would be awesome!

Ive got the whole Animated season one on DVD but havent actually seen it yet. It looks ok because its Transformers but to be honest there is just soemthing about G1 that will always make it the best, maybe modernize it with Universe/Classics and it would be even better!! What do you guys trhink??

If such a thing was to be made, it should be animated in the same way that the Hellsing OVA is done and written by Bob Forward, Flint Dille, Buzz Dixon & Marv Wolfman.

Now that would be something!

Probably after Animated is over & done with we might see something like this in 2 years time.

Well there is talk of a GI Joe resolute like series for Transformers. So it only seems natural for the Transformers version to be based off the Classics Universe line.

We already have a tf univers series. It's called G1. seriosly though, an updated g1 could be cool.

as long they dont add the repaints in the series its a good idea some of the univser figures are from differnt series cybertron, armada & others

That would be really cool. Especially if they did it CG like that, "They were always real to me" mini-movie on Hasbro's site.

A friend and I were talking the other day and he mentioned that the reason he likes the G1 cartoons more then the others is that in G1 the show seemed to be more about "people" who happened to be robots. Going to different worlds and doing different things. Were the later shows seemed more contrived.

I'd love to see an updated version of the G1/Classics/Universe era. Especially considering being such a popular era it's a shame that they are technically the worst TF cartoons ever made. Massive errors, continuity, etc. Just bad animation all the way around.

A series seems unlikely by this point, but I wouldn't mind Hasbro jumping on the DTV bandwagon on this one, so long as they brought Mainframe (or Rainmaker or whatever the studio's called now since it changed hands) back into it and brought back as much of the G1 voice cast as they could. 'Cuz let's face it, any sort of Classics/Universe animation would essentially be "G1 25 Years Later"...well, minus Unicron and Spike's annoying kid, anyway.

The big problem would be getting the right storyline, it couldnt be G1 25 (or 3 carrying on from the movie/S3) years later because most of the characters dead, there would be way too many continuity problems

The only way they could do it would be a reboot IDW style, but then thats pretty much what animated and the movie have done

Even if they did make did make a G1 update or reboot it would be mostly for the fans who no doubt would find things to complain about, for you cannot please all the people all the time

I forsee the movieverse taking over after animated is done anyway, that should have the more mature tone your looking for

you do have the IDW comics though (that have a bunch of classics/universe and MP charachters in) and the Timeline comic that is directly based on the toyline as well as the Henkei mangas


With all that said I would kill (or at least maim) to get a universe/always real to me type show made

Like Heatbag was saying, if G.I.Joe Resolute takes off and is a hit with fans, then Hasbro/TT will think about doing a TF series along the same line.

Personally I would like them to do something like they did with the Animatrix or BatmanL Gotham Knight. Maybe not the same animation styles, but along the same lines of a movie booster.

I love the Universe toy line and a cartoon base off it would be cool.
