Straight from the horses mouth, comes news that the upcoming Trade Paperback release of the Transformers sequel Comic "Reign of Starscream" will be packed full of special added extras.

Thanks to the blog of Transformers writer Chris Mowry The Full Mowry, we now know that the confirmed release date for the Reign of Starscream Trade Paperback will be released on Wednesday the 19th of November 2008, and will collect all 5 issues of the series into one collection.

As for the extras?
- Cover Gallery, including unpublished covers.
- 11 brand new pages of never before seen art from series artist Alex Milne
- 33 character biographies written by Mowry, Andrew Griffith and Josh van Reyk and Shaun Knowler (from the Mosaic team)
- Added commentary by Mowry, featuring references, Easter eggs and concept drafts.

And to top it off, Chris Mowry adds a little teaser for the upcoming "Destiny" mini series. Both of them...

Sounds like they are actually going to convince me to buy the trade. Nice extras.

Those character bios for movie-verse will be referenced frequently. It got extremely confusing there during the series.

I'm interested in the character bios since many non-movie characters made cameos in this series. Would be nice if they went into some detail and explained a bit... like the weird cameo by Landmine where he shows up and freezes in place.

Damn. This sounds like something that can't be missed out on.

Only read issues 1 and 3 but loved what I did see. Will definitely get this.

Nice to see IDW finally give us some proper extras. Looking forwrd to the commentry too. Always like to get the writer's/artist's thoughts on these things.

I bought them all already and this series was made of fail, I really didn't rate it, and releasing all this extra crap with the TPB just stabs those who bought the individual comics in the face.

Ill stick with the G1 runs from now on think.

Stabbed in the face? Yeesh. Do you get mad when they don't show the deleted scenes in the movie theater, too?

If IDW had changed the content (like DC changed the art for the Infinite Crisis trade), you'd have a legitimate gripe. Otherwise, you're complaining about extras, which makes no sense.
