Alot of interesting things in this issue.

It ties up loose ends and starts new threads like what happened to all the All Spark spawned feral Transformers. Ironhide blowing up his G-1 alt mode was a very Bayish nod.

There was a gap in time between the big city fight and final events of the movie and this is part of that gap filling. It explains why Sector 7 is still very active. They havent been disbanded yet.

A few of the movie toys make cameos.

Ironhide and Ratchet's personalities are spot on and they continue with what I think is the best incarnation of Starscream psychologically along with some interesting body modifications for him.

I haven't read this but since this is a spoilers thread could you please elaborate on Starscream's psychology? I'm interested to hear what they've done with him.

As we know Starscream has usually been portrayed as an opportunistic, wormy, arrogant and sometime cowardly usurper of Megatron. The movie based IDW Starscream sees both Megatron and Prime as being selfish and war criminals and blames their fued as to why Cybertron is in ruins. He wants to end the war along with unifying and revitalizing Cybertron. All under his rule of course which isnt necessarily all that benevolent.

We see him, especially in the sequel comics, dealing with the responsibilities and problems that comes with being leader and falling prey to the same megalomania that he despised Megatron for.

There are some similarities between Starscream's reasons of wanting to rise to power for (in his mind) the greater good and the reasons of human revolutionaries like a Castro who later become despots as bad as the ones they replaced.

The comic was awesome. Prime's trailer is neat, and his hologram driver is Peter Cullen!
