I've been doing some thinking (i know, im as shocked as you) and i can't help but think IDW droped the ball in not making a sequal to the ascending. if givin the chance this could make one hell of a sequal and serve as a good bridge to the beast machiens. A good example is Bump. In the ascending, he created a counter virus to the angolimos, so whose to say he couldn't create the counter virus to megatrons virus, the same counter virus rattrap encountered in mercinary persuits.think about it. alot of questions remain un answered.

I think what we really need is Beast Machines prequal that explains Megatron's rise to power and the creation of the virus and the disappearence of all the other Transformers.

thats essentually what this is. a way to wrap up the loose ends from ascending, and provide mor info leading to beast machines

Allso an exsplination for how Waspinator got back to Cybertron when he was left on Earth being worshiped by the little monkey people.

I want a Beast Wars comic that focuses on the time dimension that the characters from the first Beastwars show were in. So we get to see more than just a brief pass by of Depthcharge this time.

In a Q & A Simon did in December he said that he was planning on writing a third BW book, but that 2009 was probably too full for it.

yea, i would be shocked if it DID come out this year, what with Defiance and the new movie is going to be adapted to comic form.

While I would like to see a sequal, I'd rather they do a story set in between Gathering and Ascending. I really didn't like it that we barely got to know these characters, tben had a whole bunch more shoehorned in and ended the series. Personally, I would have gladly bought a monthly ongoing Beast Wars series.

Your Bump idea is very cool though. Out of all the Beast Wars II/Neo characters introduced, he was the only one that struck me as having any kind of interesting personality.

As long as the stay away from Beast Machines, I'll be all over it, In fact, if they retcon Beast Machines, I'll buy multiples.

Seriously though, I would love the see another beast story. There are a whole lot of stories that can be told with the characters that are available.

I would love the see some Galvatron and Gigastorm stories. Hell, I would love to see more of Depth Charge and Rampage.

Who knows, I guess time will tell.

It would be good to have beast wars sequal.The see more of depth charge and rampage or dinobot and megatron fighting each other. The beast machines shows how Waspinator arrived on Cybertron because the monkeys shot him in space with a medieval catupult. It was very unrealistic. I want to know how did Megatron conquered all cybertron without either the maximals or preds noticing.Why didn't the tripredicious council do something about him? Why didn't the Vok show up or the Quints? It was too spiritual and too new age for me.
