IDW Animated Comics Axed

I just heard on the Moonbase 2 podcast that IDW has canceled their Animated comic series. Here is the original article from OneShallStand.com.
IDW boss Chris Ryall has confirmed to this site that Transformers Animated Arrival #6 has been scrapped. The story will now only be available in an upcoming trade paperback. Chris suggested Hasbro had a hand in the decision without elaborating. It comes after Titan publishing called time on its TF Animated UK comic in December after only three issues.

Rumor is that Hasbro cut short the Animated comic to help build up the ROTF movie.

No. They cancelled it because they didn't want to have it out before the Jetfire/Jetstorm combo pack (which it was supposed to be packaged with; the direct sales version was to have been a reprint) was out.

Yeah, the article says the TF Animated UK comics have been axed and IDW won't be releasing the single issue #6 of the regular Animated Arrival story (but it is available with Jetfire/Jetstorm and in the upcoming TPB).

It doesn't say anything about axing the regular IDW Animated stories. Not that I'm sure that they've solicited any more Animated comics after the Arrival though.

The digests most likely aren't axed, but since Arrival #6 was the last issue of the title, it's safe to say that we won't be seeing anymore Animated comics.
